Global Warming

• There are many problems in this world, but one major one is Global Warming. Global warming is the warming of the earth or the rising of temperatures.

• Due to this, glaciers are melting and sea levels are rising. Between all the glaciers in Antarctica and Greenland, the levels rise up 200 or more feet.

• Every day habitats are being lost and more cases of cancer are coming up. All of this is because of Global Warming.

Recycling

• All over the world, people are not recycling. For example, in Kansas it is not mandatory to recycle and you have to pay a small fee if you do. No one is going to recycle if you have to pay to get it picked up. Everybody needs to recycle.

The Greenhouse Effect

• People started emitting large amounts of greenhouse gases all over the world in the mid 1700s.

• These gases are very harmful to the environment.• Large amounts of fossil fuels are burned each day to

run cars, trucks, factories, planes, and power plants.• These gases create lots of waste that can travel

through the air for 50 years. This is a big part of our life time.
