APPLICATION

Pantera 1500 is a hydraulic, self-propelled, self-contained, crawler based surface drilling rigequipped with a cabin and a rod changer. It drills 89 -140 mm (3 - 5 ) vertical, inclined or horizontalholes with 51 and 60 mm ( 2 and 2

rods or 102 - 152 mm (4 - 6) vertical, inclined orhorizontal holes with 76 and 87 mm (3 and 3 )tubes. Good results in difficult ground conditions areobtained by using pilot tube drilling, where the firstrod is replaced by a 76 or 87 mm (3 or 3 ) specialtube.

Pantera 1500 is equipped with HL 1560, hydraulictop hammer rock drill. With high rotation torque,proper flushing and sophisticated, ergonomic RockPilot control system the rig adapts itself easily intovarying rock conditions.

The rig has a telescopic boom for fast hole spottingand set up of the feed. The cylinder feed for max. 6,1m (20 ) starter rod for single pass drilling togetherwith carousel type rod changer with a possibility touse 4,3 m (14 ) rods add productivity of drilling.

The powerpack of Pantera 1500 consists ofCaterpillar diesel engine and a gearbox, whichdivides the power for hydraulic pumps (two variabledisplacement pumps) and flushing air compressor.

All panel sections can be opened for easy access toservice spots. Powerpack is mounted crosswise atthe rear of the rig to balance the weight of the boomand the feed.

Pantera 1500 has an ergonomic and roomy fullvision cabin to increase operators comfort andefficiency. The cabin is certified for F.O.P.S. andR.O.P.S. (Falling Object Protection Structure andRoll-Over Protection Structure). Windows are safety

laminated and the noise level in the cabin is lessthan 80 dB(A). Optimal visibility to the drilling spot isachieved by locating the control levers to both sidesof the cabin. Drilling functions are proportionallycontrolled by one joystick on right hand side. Rodchanger functions are controlled by another joystickon left-hand side. Cabin exceeds all standards foroperators working environment.

Pantera 1500 is designed for efficient productiondrilling in large quarries or open pit mines andconstruction work sites. It suits well also for wallcontrol and development works. To customize the rigit can be equipped with a variety of options to meet

special requirements.
