Tanami Tack® leather items are hand crafted from carefully selected, full grain leathers that are sourced from tanneries worldwide.

The leather used in all of the Tanami Tack range is tanned from carefully selected hides, drum tanned then drum dyed to ensure colour depth and fastness while maintaining the natural appearance of the leather. The leather is then hand oiled and finished.

Quality Stainless steel or Solid brass (Nickel polish finish) hardware is used on the entire Tanami Tack® range.

UV stabilized nylon thread is used in the Tanami Tack® products and will not be affected by leather oils or dressings.

The Tanami Tack® Cavesson not only improves the appearance of the horse’s head, it also offers support to the lower jaw. This allows the horse to relax its jaw as the noseband resists the downward pressure from the bit’s action. A Cavesson can be used to prevent the horse from evading the bit without causing harm.

It also proves valuable in sports such as Campdrafting as it allows for control and accuracy especially when quick movement changes are required. The Cavesson nosebands should be fitted with a margin of two fingers (3cm) between the band and jaw bone and be positioned half way between the mouth corners and projecting cheek bone.
