TANDUS FLOORING®

AND LEED®

For more than 20 years,

Tandus Flooring has been

actively researching,

developing and bringing

to market innovative and

environmentally preferable

products. Whether you’re

looking to specify or

purchase products that are

recyclable, have significant

amounts of recycled

content, or need your

floorcoverings to perform in

high-traffic environments

for 20 plus years, Tandus

Flooring is on the forefront

of providing our customers

durable flooring solutions

with the most advanced

environmental attributes in

the industry.

Reclaiming and recycling used flooring since 1994.

LIFE-CYCLE ASSESSMENT

A life-cycle assessment (LCA) quantifies the total environmental impact of a material or product by assessing all stages in the life of a material.

• Raw materials

• Manufacturing

• Use

• Disposal

At Tandus Flooring, we believe focusing on one single attribute provides an incomplete picture of the true environmental impact of a product. That’s why we utilize life-cycle assessment methodologies that provide a more holistic view of a product’s total environmental footprint.

While LEED does not actually certify building and commercial interiors products, materials can contribute to earning credits if they possess the environmental attributes identified by the LEED strategies.

Tandus Flooring provides a wide selection of modular, Powerbond, and broadloom styles that are LEED “compatible.”

Depending on the product, project location, and type of project, Tandus Flooring can assist any LEED project team.
