that they fit more tightly. On the other hand, it is necessary to take possible sticking of the pin and

bushing into consideration when the angle is small. At 0.5Band 1B taper(also 3B taper in some

cases), sticking can be avoided by setting them slightly afloat as shown in the figure. When the angle

is small, the creep of the height(a in the left drawing)against the width(b in the left drawing)is also

small so that there is no need to worry about positioning inaccuracies.

are identical and can be used in combination.

When using a D20 stopper bolt, use it together with a D20 puller bolt.

The stopper bolts are designed to sink 2mm from the surface of

fixed installation plates listed in the table below.

Therefore, the relationship between the counterbore depth(W)and

stroke(S)is:W = S+(Stopper bolt's head thickness K)+2

L =(Fixed installation plate thickness)-(Stopper bolt's head thickness K+2)

When a runner stripper plate thickness in the following table is used,

screw lengthRfor the stopper bolt is designed to fit into the puller bolt in a

length of 1.5 times longer than the screw diameter.

In this state, the stopper bolt's thread has an 8mm part not fit into the puller

bolt so that a counterbore can be created on the runner stripper plate to

house a spring.

CAllows adjustment of friction between the base plate and resin

sleeve by tightening/loosening the tapered bolt.

CMade of a high grade nylon(PA66), this parting lock features

excellent corrosion and heat resistance properties. The resin

sleeve by itself has heat resistant temperature of 150A. But use

it at 80A or less because the durability will reduce due to

tightening stress by the tapered bolt in the practically continuous

use.

If you form the dowel pin hole of the parting lock set by NC machining, the following trouble will occur.1) The positions of the cam lock and slide lock will become misaligned, making it difficult to insert the slide bar. This in turn may result in damage to the cam lock or other part.2) A clearance will occur between the cam lock and the slide lock, resulting in defective molding.For the above reasons, carry out position adjustment by matching with the actual part.

1) Form bolt holes and reamer holes using NC machining, and install the cam holder parallel to the PL face.

Install the die in the molding machine, cut the release bar to the necessary length, form the bolt holes and reamer pilot holes, temporarily fix the release bar, check the sliding operation of the parting lock, and then ream the holes and press-fit the dowel pins.Make the overhang length r of each release bar the same in order to equalize the timing of the release.

In order to eliminate looseness between the cam lock and the slide lock, insert the release bar, temporarily fix the slide holder while pulling it parallel to the cam holder, ream the holes and press-fit the dowel pins. In this condition, confirm that the release bar operates smoothly, and then tighten the slide holder with the bolts.

Form bolt holes and reamer holes in the mold parallel to the PL face to a pitch accuracy of within 0.01. If the pitch accuracy is within 0.02, form the holes to the reamer pilot hole dimension. (Machine the holes while taking into consideration the clearance between the insert and the mold.)

¡Enables well-balanced mold opening/closing through its

mechanism composed of a belleville spring, internal

rollers and lock rollers.

¡Its rollers prevent uneven wear.

¡The lock bushing's vertically symmetrical design allows

a worn piece to be reused by reinstalling it in reverse.

¡The lock holder's back recess enables it to be used

even on a stepped mold plates.

¡Mount it in parallel to the parting line.¡The roller lock set can be removed by

pulling it in the direction of arrow in the figure.

¡Opening/closing load can be adjusted using a Allen

wrench. The load is maximum when the adjustment bolt is

fully tightened, 50% when it is loosened a half rotation,

0 when it is loosened 1 rotation or more. GFor MPLK10, the

load decreases about 25% when the adjustment bolt is

loosened a half rotation, 70% when it is loosened one rotation.

¡The load for mold closing is about 50% of mold opening.

¡A fixing screw is provided on the load adjustment bolt.

Loosen it to perform load adjustment, and make sure to

tighten it after adjustment is completed.

Note:Make sure to assemble the right and left units

symmetrically for well balanced operation.

¡For roller lock set slim bushings, the height of lock bushing

(A dimension)is standardized as 24mm.The one side of

molding base installation board is a standard

corresponding to the amount of protrude 25mm.

¡When mold is installed in the molding machine, the part

where roller lock set protrudes interferes in the tie bar.

It becomes the damage prevention of roller lock set and

the tie bar. Moreover, there is no trouble in keeping and

transporting.

¡Although the heights of bushings(AU24, t1U15.5)

become lower, the load and other dimensions remain the

same as conventional products.

About slim bushings

GFor use in 2-color molding, insert molding, etc. that require additional lock bushings.

¡Due to usage of heat resistance spring, you can use this lock set at

points of higher temperature compared to those of the standard type.

¡The dimensions are the same as those of the standard type,

permitting changeover from the standard type.

¡To differentiate this lock set from the standard type, the adjustment

bolt has been made different from that of the standard type.

¡Mount it in parallel to the parting line.¡The roller lock set can be removed by

pulling it in the direction of arrow in the figure.
