Tapestry™ FEC, Glycol/Dye Based Jettable Colorants
Tapestry™ FEC is a family of high performance, glycol/dye based food edible colorants specifically formulated for use with the Dimatix™ Merlin digital imaging systems. Using both, colorful graphics and text are imaged onto a food’s surface without impact to product shelf life or flavor.
Tapestry FEC is a family of glycol/dye based jettable food edible colorants specifically formulated for use with the Dimatix Merlin digital imaging system. The industrial Merlin print systems allow direct, non-contact, variable monochrome and color imaging, onto a product’s surface at full production speed without any intermediate steps. Tapestry FEC colorants are jetted directly onto the product surface to create edible, colorful images that do not affect the food product’s shelf life or flavor.
Tapestry FEC, glycol/dye based jettable colorants dry by absorption making them suitable for virtually all porous food decorating applications.
Tapestry FEC jettable colorants, can be applied to food products while the product is still warm, delicate, wet, liquid or uncooked. This enables the use of existing, cooling and drying processes that allow the colorants to fix to the food prior to packaging.
Tapestry FEC jettable colorants are rigorously tested for compatibility with the materials used in Fujifilm Dimatix - Spectra® printheads, ensuring these fluids function in a consistent and reliable manner. They are offered in a 4-color set, for full-color imaging. Special or spot colors are available upon request.

Tapestry FEC are water free edible colorants for use in Spectra printheads. They are best suited for use with low moisture content foods. They have been formulated to give excellent reliability and printhead performance.
