Principal’s News

Dear Parents and Carers

As a school community we continue to follow health advice in relation to

adult social distancing and enhanced hygiene practices. The current

advice is that the NSW Government strongly encourages greater use of

masks in high-risk public settings to help prevent the spread of COVID -

19. NSW health specifically recommends the use of face masks in

indoor settings where adult physical distancing is hard to maintain.

As a school we have made the decision to request all external adult

visitors to the school to wear a mask when having a face to face

meeting with our staff. This will come into effect on Wednesday 5

August 2020.

Please continue to keep up to date with current updates from NSW

health. All suspected and confirmed cases should also be reported to

the school office following testing. If your child is sick with any flu like

symptoms please keep them home from school and seek health advice

prior to their return to school.

Are your children late to school?

There continues to be a significant number of students arriving late to

school each day. This impacts directly on student learning and

engagement in the classroom. With the current social distancing

restriction this is also seriously impacting on the number of people

permitted in the foyer waiting to be signed in late. Can you please

ensure that your children are at school on time for classes to

commence at 9:10am each morning.

School Reports

Due to the disruptions to school at the end of Term 1 and beginning of

Term 2 this year, due to the COVID restrictions, it is anticipated that

our Semester 1 Reports will be sent home to families in the Week

beginning 24 August 2020, although this could be earlier.

Learning Meetings

This term our Learning Meetings will be held over the telephone.

Information will be sent home to families early next week so that

parents/carers can book telephone appointment times with class

teachers. The telephone meetings will be conducted in Weeks 5, 6 & 7

(17 August to 4 September). Our aim is to connect with every family

during this period.
