Target Audience

Who would be the audience for your media product? Aimed towards audiences who enjoy crime/ gangster films but

would have a wide audience due to the fact in can be enjoyed by any genre film lover

Both genders but targeted more towards men The psychographic profile for our audience wouldn’t be that specific

but would lean towards succeeders and achievers Due to the violence and bad language the certificate would be 15 so

therefore our audience would be above 15 Due to our film having a wide audience we felt that our audience

would fall into most of the jicnar scales except for E on the scale due to the fact that state pensioners will not be interested in our crime film and the lowest grade workers will be more intent on affording a living than watching a movie

How did you attract/ address your audience? The use of parallel action within the opening two minutes meant that

it was fast paced and exciting which attracted our audience who want to see a fast paced crime thriller

Also we used the technique of preferred reading which meant that the audience accepted the social values of the characters we put across in the open scenes

Along with preferred reading we used aberrant reading which meant that the audience didn’t realise that one of our mysterious characters was a killer instead of a Big Issue seller on a busy street

Due to the audience not knowing what the characters are doing and going to do they stay interested and intrigued to find out what happens next
