CUSTOMER BENEFITS Taro Special HT 70 delivers value through: Wear protection — Helps ensure protection against excessive cylinder liner and piston ring wear, which generally results from the use of high sulphur content heavy fuel oils. The sulphur in these fuels form corrosive by-products during combustion, which not only attack engine parts like cylinder liners and piston rings, but also impair lubricating qualities of the oil. The alkaline additive in Taro Special 70 neutralizes these acidic compounds, thereby minimizing wear and extending cylinder liner and piston ring life, thus allowing prolonged service overhauls. Detergent/dispersant properties — Helps prevent ring sticking and minimizes deposit formation throughout the combustion chamber exhaust areas. This means minimal engine inspections, minimal cleaning or overhaul, and controlled maintenance costs. Excellent lubrication properties — Maintains an oil film under severe, high load conditions, thereby minimizing frictional wear and scuffing of liners, pistons and rings. Storage stability — A single phase, homogeneous product, stable at all ambient temperatures and over extended storage periods. Compatibility — Fully miscible and compatible with recognized competitive diesel cylinder lubricants, but it is advisable to consult with your sales representative before mixing. FEATURES Taro Special 70 is blended from highly refined, paraffinic base oils and carefully selected additives to promote exceptional ring and liner wear protection and excellent piston cleanliness in low speed crosshead engines. APPLICATIONS Taro Special 70 is recommended for the cylinder lubrication of crosshead type marine diesel engines burning heavy residual type fuel oils. Taro Special 70 meets the requirements of most engine designs operating at high specific power outputs and high thermal loads. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Taro® Special 70 is a high performance 70 BN SAE 50 diesel cylinder lubricant intended for cylinder lubrication of crosshead engines.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS

Taro Special HT 70 delivers value through:

• Wear protection — Helps ensure protection against excessive cylinder liner and piston ring wear, which generally results from the use of high sulphur content heavy fuel oils.

• Detergent/dispersant properties — Helps prevent ring sticking and minimizes deposit formation throughout the combustion chamber exhaust areas. This means minimal engine inspections, minimal cleaning or overhaul, and controlled maintenance costs.

• Excellent lubrication properties — Maintains an oil film under severe, high load conditions, thereby minimizing frictional wear and scuffing of liners, pistons and rings.

• Storage stability — A single phase, homogeneous product, stable at all ambient temperatures and over extended storage periods.

• Compatibility — Fully miscible and compatible with recognized competitive diesel cylinder lubricants, but it is advisable to consult with your sales representative before mixing.

FEATURES

Taro Special 70 is blended from highly refined, paraffinic base oils and carefully selected additives to promote exceptional ring and liner wear protection and excellent piston cleanliness in low speed crosshead engines.

APPLICATIONS

Taro Special 70 is recommended for the cylinder lubrication of crosshead type marine diesel engines burning heavy residual type fuel oils. Taro Special 70 meets the requirements of most engine designs operating at high specific power outputs and high thermal loads.
