The weeknds videos always have a certain style. He tends to use a lot of black and white which is high in contrast, he also alternates with the use of abstract lighting and using colour fi ltering. He likes to light himself up leaving the rest of the background very dark. His videos also fi nish on the same shot they open with. He use fast pace cuts and overlaying of shots in certain parts of the songs to match the pace. He tends to use a lot of close ups of the mouth when singing, he also uses mid shots and long shots to show off costume and surroundings but the camera is usually quite static in his videos.
