Do you enjoy listening to pop music?

I asked this question because i am doing a pop magazine, i then therefore wanted to know how popular my sub genre of music that i chose was. The result was good because my genre was relatively popula r with the people i asked within the questionarre. This shows the target audience that i was going to target it to. I asked people around college, the main people who said no were the older people that i asked- people that are not within my target audience. This means that my genre is still the correct one for me to do and therefore this set of results will not have any effect on my magazine as pop was popular within questionarre.

Do you attend live music events?

This was a third question in which i would be able to consolidate how much music is part of peoples lives. The fact that they go to music concerts shows that they will be willing to spend money on music and therefore shows they are passionate about music. This means again that a wide variety of people will spend money on music and therefore shows the wide variety of target audience that my magazine can be directed to. this shows that pop genre is a good one to choose as the wide variety of target audience will allow me to have a good amount of people to direct my magazine at.

Do you listen to music with people?

This question was asked so i know what environment most people choose to listen to pop ion. Whetehr its a party environment with lots of people, or on there own in there room or anywhere on there own. This showed me that pop is very popular for mass amaounts of people. It can be enjoyed with lots of people. Therefore shows its used at parties, gatherings and therefore tells me some stuff information that i can incorporate into my magazine so again it is personalised for each individual.

This question was asked because i wanted to know the pop artists that were the most unpopular. This would mean i know what types of artists are most unpopular and therefore i know what artists should not be added to my magazine and what ones will attract the target audience. What radio station do you listen to?

I asked this question because i wanted to know what radio station people chose to listen to. The fact that they chose to listen to Capital FM is a postive because this is the main radio station that my sub genre is played o. This again like some of the previous questions, shows the popularity of the pop genre therefore showing the wide amounts of target audience that there is. this means that my genre is very popular and therefore means that this will not effect the magazine in which i am making, it just strengthens the sub genre in which i chose previously.

This question was asked so i know what people like and dislike about the sub genre of pop, this needed to be known on my behalf so that i knew what i should massively do in my magazine and what not to do. The fact that people said they liked it because it is up beat means that i will use artists that they know as an upbeat producer of music, therefore this will make my magazine more succesful as i am only writing about the things the majority of people like not what they dislike. Therefore meaning the target audience is happy thus meaning again, more success.

i asked this question because i wanted to know how bigger part music was to this particular person . If music was a big part of someones life then a music magazine would be more popular. The result was very good as 69% of people said they listened to music everyday. 0% of people i asked said they never listen to music, therefore showing that music was some part of everyones life, therefore showing the wide target audience. In terms of target audience it shows the wide variety of potential target audience. This will not have any effect on my magazine as the results were postive again.

This question was asked so i knew what drew people into listening to pop music. What made them want to listen to pop music and why they continue to. This is again another way in which i can make my magazine personal to eachand every target audience member. If they find pop relaxing and enjoyable then i will incorporate this into my artciles and the artists and type of artists that are within the magaziune. This will make my magazine more effective as it will produce postives for each and every target audience member, meaning they enjoy and can realte to the magazine.

How many hours a day do you listen to music?

I asked this question just to strengthen the results i got from the previous question. It gave a more specicifc answer as to how many hours they listen to music. I therefore will not be making any adjustiments to my magazine as there are no negative rsults. In terms of target audience it shows the wide variety of potential target audience again.
