2.0 Task Requirements
2.1 Purpose This User Experience release is designed to provide a unified user experience between common ASSIST and Portal functionality with existing “legacy” workflow contained primarily in ITSS and TOS.
3.0 ASSIST Central Invoice Service ApplicationThis section provides a high-level description of the new features in the Assisted Services Shared Information SysTem (ASSIST) and the processes codified in the new system.

3.2 User ImpactAll users of the Regional Business Applications (RBA) and the National Business Applications (NBA) are affected by the new User Experience features. The user groups that are affected are:
Contractor Users Client Users GSA Employee Users
3.3 Impact to WorkflowThe User Experience features does not change registration or order processing workflows within the RBA and NBA systems.

3.4 Change DescriptionUser Experience introduces new features for users to do the following:
Direct navigation to system functions ‘Featured Reports’ portlet for quick access to commonly run reports Comprehensive Reports page for all available reports
3.5 New Features and Changes
3.5.1 Default Landing PageThe default landing page for ITSS, ITOMS, and FEDSIM have been redesigned with enhanced navigation capabilities and highlights commonly used reports.

3.5.2 User NavigationThe navigation bar has a redesigned navigation menu, which can be accessed from any ASSIST page. Users hover over menu options on the navigation bar and select a sub-menu option for quick access to ASSIST applications including legacy ITSS and TOS.

MENU DESCRIPTION
HOME Clicking the ‘HOME’ tab will take the user to their default landing page.
ACQUISITION This menu offers sub-options to CIS and ITSS.
REPORTS Clicking the ‘Reports’ tab will take the user to a consolidated reports page.
REGISTRATION This menu offers sub-options for account maintenance.
HELP This menu offers quick links to Help documents and Help Desk Assistance.
NOTE: The navigation bar menu options are dependent on a user’s modules and roles.

The figure below provides an example of the menu options available for Client users.

If a user is on an ITSS page, the existing legacy menu options will continue to be displayed. Clicking the ‘WELCOME’ tab from any of the ITSS legacy pages will take the user back to their default landing page where the new menus will be accessible.

Hovering over a menu will expand it, showing a second menu (the sub-menu) with options related to the selected entry.

3.5.3 Featured Reports PortletThe new ‘Featured Reports’ portlet contains commonly used reports with direct access to ‘View All Available Reports’. The portlet has been consolidated and restyled for a consistent look and feel to ASSIST services.

IF a Client user is not associated to an ITSS or TOS order, the Featured Reports portlet on the landing page will be displayed with the message, ‘Currently no orders to report on.’

3.5.4 Reports PageThe Reports page contains report portlets based on application and report type. Authorized users will be able to access ITSS and TOS reports by navigating to the Reports page from the navigation menu.

Users can also navigate to the Reports page from the Featured Reports portlet on a user’s landing page by clicking the ‘View Available Reports’ link.

Table 3 provides a listing of Reports portlets available to a Client user. Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (BIRT) Reports are available to users with the appropriate roles and permissions.

If a Client user is not associated to an order, the Reports page will display the Client Reports portlet with the message, ‘Currently no orders to report on.’

3.6 Interface ImpactThe following existing interfaces have been updated to support the new features:
