Task recorder toolIn Dynamics Ax 2012 there is a small but very useful tool “Task Recorder”This tool helps us to generate documents, training material and video recordings. This feature helps us to communicate other developers and business users of organization after implementation. These documents include step by step instruction which helps to deliver the information to other teams or users.What Task recorder tool offers• Documents, word required if not then generate XML files.• Video recording
Terminology• Tasks: Creating Vendor records, Update Vendor.• Business Process: Purchase Order Cycle, Sales Order
Cycle, RFQ Process.• Core Process: Mian process which is required to record
for example Purchase Order Process. Sales Order Process. • Support Process: Vendor creation, Vendor Update,
Customer creation, Customer Update, Item creation, Item update process are support process for Purchase Order and Sales Order .
Prerequisites • Windows Media player.• Microsoft Word.• Client and AOS (Application Object Server)• File write access on file server

Basic Mode ( Simple record the videos, word files).
Advance Mode ( Generate video, documents and AOT meta data to define bussiness process and upload it to life cycle servcies.

Advance mode• Industry ie. Electronic Goods Distribution Services.
PDG.• Framework. is name for Business process ie Purchase
order process.Industry and framework are used to make parent node.• Hierarchy – How much hierarchies are possible in the
framework. Within the levels you can indicate if the recording mode is basic or advanced.
Package• Package contains the file generation with extension
asbxm. This file contains data follow diagram and video for the process.• Steps, After selection the node with advance mode
selected node, and generates the asbxm. • Dynamics Ax create batch job, which is time consuming
job. Wait for batch job completion. After batch job successfully created, a file is created at stored folder.
Life Cycle services.• Login in to https://lcs.dynamics.com/• Credentials requires of either partner source or
customer source.
Dynamics Lifecycle services• Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services provides a cloud-
based collaborative workspace that customers and their partners can use to manage Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 implementations. Lifecycle Services helps organizations improve the predictability and quality of their implementations by simplifying and standardizing the implementation process to realize business value faster.• Lifecycle Services provides regularly updated services.
The goal of LCS is to deliver the right information, at the right time, to the right people and to help ensure repeatable, predictable success with each roll out of an implementation, update or upgrade

Business process generation is time consuming. We have to wait until the status will converted to success.
Process flowAfter successfully upload of Business process following activities created in Business process.
Pros:• Comes with Dynamics Ax as add on.• Helpful for generate documents.• Helps us to generate Activity diagrams
Cons:• It creates video recording for not more then 10
minutes.• There is no built in function for sound recording. • Confusing Names In Advance mode for example
Industry, framework and Hierarchy or levels.
