Regional Express is the regional carrier servicing Burnie (Wynyard) and King Island from Melbourne. Sharp Airlines offers flights from Wynyard and Launceston to King Island and from Melbourne and Launceston to Flinders Island.

1. MONAThe Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Hobart is a must see. View Australia's largest private art collection and be challenged by some of the thought provoking controversial artwork. (see page 29 for details)

2. Salamanca PlaceBest discovered by foot! Walk around Hobart's waterfront galleries, shops, cafés and restaurants and stroll up Kelly's steps and through historic Battery Point. See Hobart from a local's perspective and don't miss the famous Salamanca Markets held every Saturday from 8am to 3pm (except Christmas Day and Anzac Day).

3. Mt WellingtonDrive to the top of Mount Wellington for stunning panoramic views of Hobart. This is a perfect photo opportunity, take a warm jacket as it can get quite breezy on the top and for most of the year there is snow.

12. Wineglass BayWith it's white sand and turquoise waters; its no wonder so many visitors have Freycinet and Wineglass Bay on their bucket list.
