The Powerful Impact of Operation Christmas Child!

In the mountains of Honduras, a team was organized to deliver shoe box gifts to a village of 1,500 people that lived a 4 hour hike from the nearest road. What an exhausting task that required the team to hoist cartons of gifts on their shoulders as they climbed the rocky, terraced path. It was an exciting day when 275 children gathered to receive gifts...the first that many of them had ever received. One community leader was so moved by the distribution and the Gospel message, that he offered a large tract of land to build the first church in the area. Construction supplies had to be hauled on shoulders or mules up the same grueling trail. As the word of what the Lord was doing spread, other communities asked the team to come share the Gospel. Now God is moving in 7 different communities and it all started with 275 shoe box gifts!

Help us pack a shoe box for Operation Christmas Child! Visit the table in the Main Foyer for a brochure with packing instructions, packing ideas, and labels. Don’t forget to include $7 for shipping. This is a great outreach for families and children are welcome to include a

note or coloring page for the box recipient. Boxes may be returned, by November 16, to the Welcome Center. For more information, contact Shelley Maxwell.
