* Your ID can be used to access the T-Connect service within a predetermined period of time. However, when the term of validity has been exceeded, a portion of the functions cannot be accessed. In such cases, service can be continued by making an optional purchase of the T-Connect application. Purchases can be made by accessing [Option purchase] under [Settings] (Refer to pages 47 to 48).

About this Manual Precautions when Using T-Connect

This manual represents the start-up guide for the T-Connect smartphone application provided to users who purchase new Toyota vehicles. It provides details on initial setup and registration, details on the services available, and details on how to use the application.Ensure that this manual is read thoroughly prior to using T-Connect, and check the usage conditions and licensing agreement.

In addition to being a high-function navigation system, T-Connect provides leading-edge spot information and a wide range of other information services viasmartphone to support the user.

Drivers are requested to check out the route they intend to travel prior to departure. The navigation will provide audio guidance on the route when the vehicle starts moving.

There are certain restrictions in effect for the T-Connect contents that can be used. In addition to the functions that can be used free of charge, the navigation service can also be used at no cost for a period of one week from the start of usage. Provision of ServicesThe T-Connect application for smartphones is a high-function navigation system that provides a wide range of services to drivers including optimal route guidance to the chosen destination and information regarding chosen locations.Anybody can take advantage of these services simply by downloading the application.In addition, further convenient content can be used by becoming a T-Connect member.

A chargeable membership system enabling members to use all T-Connect contents.Membership includes various useful services that provide drivers with a wide range of detailed support.An ID and password will be issued after membership registration.

When sync has completed, you can use T-Connect.

Prior to Using T-Connect (for T-Connect Members)

Start up the T-Connect application.1.The opening screen will change to the log-in screen.

Select either "Arabic" or "English" as the language.2.

Enter your ID and password which is provided at the

dealer branch where you purchased the vehicle.

After entering your ID and password, press the "Login" button.

To use the navigation system, it is first necessary to download the map data for the country where it will be used.

Press the button on the main menu.1.

A message stating [Download map] will be displayed.

3 T-Connect Function Descriptions

Navigation is a service that uses the current location as a start point to provide route guidance to a destination.GPS satellites are used to display the vehicle's current location on a map downloaded beforehand.When a desired destination is entered, the screen displays the optimal route from the current location, and provides route guidance to that destination. In addition, since the current location and the direction to the set destination can be displayed on the Off-road Map, even for off-road areas, the destination can always safely be reached.Moreover, navigation is high-function system that can offer the optimal route to the destination using information distributed from the Toyota Smart Center.

* When using Free Type or when the term of validity has been exceeded for the services you can access with your ID, service can be continued by purchasing the option with the T-Connect application.

* Owing to the large volume of map data, it is recommended that downloads are carried out on a Wi-Fi environment. Downloading maps from the cell phone network will take time owing to the large volume of data, and there are consequently cases in which heavy charges for packet data communications may be incurred.* The download may take a considerable amount of time due to the quantity of data. Therefore, verify that there is sufficient battery charge prior to starting the download process.* In the event of the connection being cut off during downloading, the download will recommence from the place of the cut off when the connection has been reestablished.* In some cases, it may take several minutes to display the downloaded map data.* The map data is updated twice a year. * In general, it is necessary to download the map data directly from the smartphone.

* If a destination has been set on the Off-road map, route guidance will not be provided once the vehicle has entered the off-road area. Instead, only the traced path will be displayed.

Enables gourmet, leisure spot and other facility information to be easily searched for, and the results of the search can be registered in My Spot.

The following operations are possible when the map showing the surrounding area is displayed.

Enter a keyword into the field at the top left-hand side of thescreen, set the search radius at 10km or 30km or unlimitedfrom the central spot and then press the [Search] button.

T-Connect Support Center operators provide drivers with support 24 hours a day, Simply call the operator to use the destination setting service.

* Depending on the country, there are cases when the user will incur communication fees.* The Destination Setting information transmitted from the Call Center is limited to five items of information per call.* The facility search service provided by the Call Center is limited to the services provided by T-Connect.

* If you are outside your country of residence, international call information will be displayed. Please press “OK” if you agree to the content displayed.

* In case of weak GPS signal reception, screen to confirm local information will be displayed; after which you will automatically be connected to the operator.

T-Connect is equipped with a Prayer Times Notification function and Qibla Compass function to display and notify the user of prayer times, and to point in the direction of the mosque.

* The message will state [Update the data] will be displayed only during the first setup.

* When using an iPhone and uninstalling the T-Connect application, if the alert setting is not turned off before deleting the application, the notifications will continue for approximately 30 days. Therefore, always turn this setting off before uninstalling the T-Connect application.

It is possible to link genuine Toyota vehicle-mounted equipment to smartphones onto which T-Connect has been installed so that T-Connect can be started up and used on the screen in the car.

Obtain the application from App Storefor vehicle-mounted equipment connection.

Display the smartphone main menu.2.* Run a search for "AppMenu".

Connect the smartphone to the vehicle-mountedequipment with the use of a cable.

Start the engine, and turn the vehicle-mounted equipment power supply ON.

Establishing Link to Vehicle-Mounted Equipment(Original On-Vehicle Equipment)

Confirm the pop-up on the smartphone screenand press "Allow".

Press the "Connected services" key on the displayof vehicle-mounted equipment.

This function is only currently offered for the iPhone4 and 4S.

Press the "T-Connect" icon displayed for the vehicle-mounted equipment.

*Always perform operations with the vehicle stopped in a safe location and the parking brake applied. T-Connect will not start up when the parking brake is released.

*Please note that the display screen for T-Connect is different when being used on the smart phone as a standalone and when connected to the vehicle-mounted equipment.

Start the engine, and turn the vehicle-mounted equipment power supply ON.

Press the "T-Connect" icon displayed for the vehicle-mounted equipment.

The operator service can be used hands-free by linked the vehicle-mounted equipment and smartphone with Bluetooth.

*Select [Bluetooth] from [Setup] under the vehicle-mounted equipment [Menu]. Next, perform pairing with the vehicle-mounted equipment from [Bluetooth] under the iPhone [Settings].

T-Connect can now be operated from the vehicle-mounted equipment touch panel.

*Please note that the display screen for T-Connect is different when being used on the smart phone as a standalone and when connected to the vehicle-mounted equipment.
