TDCP 1st Motorbike & 4x4 Rohtas Rally

Introduction TDCP having been encouraged by the

successful organization of Cholistan Jeep Rally has organized 1st Motor bike and 4x4 wheels Rally around the majestic Rohtas fort, a world heritage site and under the shadow of gorgeous tilla Jogian the highest peak in the Eastern Salt Range.

The Event

The TDCP Motorbike & 4x4 Rally is a tough and thrilling driving competition for Bikers as well as for 4WD, The rally will be a day event and will be held in the dry bed of Kahan river.

The Dates

To be held on 2nd &3rd November 2013. Registration will be carried out on first come first served basis

not late then 28-10-2013. Acceptance of entries to be announced within 2 working days

of registration deadline. Organizers reserve the right to accept or refuse any entry without assigning any reason.

How to Reach

The Entry Fee for each vehicle is as follows Rs. 5,000/- (Non- refundable) for individual vehicle Rs. 10,000/- (Non refundable) for sponsored vehicle The registration form can be downloaded from TDCP website.

Payment is to be made through bank draft in the name of Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab. The TDCP will refund the entry fee only in case of failure to hold the event.

The Rohtas Rally shall be single stage rally for Motorbikes as well as for 4x4 vehicles. The start/finish point for both the Rallies shall be Rohtas Fort. The motorbike rally shall cover a distance of 40km and 4x4 wheels shall cover 60km.(The distance can be extended)

There will be several Passage Control Check-posts as well as Time ControlCheckpoints along the Rally Route. All of these checkpoints will be clearly marked on the route and the exact number and location will be disclosed at the Drivers' Meeting prior to the rally.

The registered Service Vehicles, if any, will also follow the Rally Route.However, the service vehicles will be allowed onto the Rally Route only after all competing vehicles have started on the section.

For Spectators Distribution of Printed material among

local and visitors. Display of information boards about rally hazard.

Announcements at Rally Start and Finish Points.

Deployment of Police/security at Start & Finish points and at Check Post on Rally Route.

Deployment of Police at Rohtas Fort.

For Drivers & Navigators Roll Bar is mandatory(for all 4x4

Vehicles), Helmets, Seat Belts, Protective clothing/suit/jacket/ pants/Shoes. Knee guard, etc

Safety Measures

02 (4X4) Ambulances along with paramedical staff on the route to deal with emergency.

03 Ambulances (Rescue 1122)at Rally Start Point.

Medical Camp at Rohtas Fort. Emergency arrangement at District

Head quarter Hospital. 04 tractors for removal of

unserviceable vehicles from the route.

Emergency Rescue

All check posts as designated on the Time Cards will be prominently identified on the rally route. At all check posts the driver must safely stop the rally vehicle at the designated spot and then the navigator must take the Time Card to the official for stamping.

The driver must ensure that his vehicle does not unduly hold up subsequently arriving vehicles at any checkpoint on the rally route.
