Teacher leadership is one who inspires, motivates and leads people to accomplish organizational goals.

Teacher leadership is like life, largely a matter of paying attention(Autry, 2001)

Teacher leadership is about understanding priorities:“ Any man who can drive safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves”(Albert Einstein)

Teacher leadership requires a lot ofpatience and special characteristics.The most important traits are competence, consistency and character.

Teachers Leadership Characteristics.

1. Interpersonal skills. emotional intelligence and the ability to quickly transform a group into a vision driven team.2. Credibility, influence, compassion, understanding, patience and integrity.3. Courage to stand for what is right.4. Introspective - know your intrinsic and extrinsic motivations, your vulnerabilities and what triggers negative emotions.5. Authentic and teachable.
