TEACHERS’ DAY SPECIAL

The art of beautiful writing is called “calligraphy”. Calligraphy competition was organised to encourage children to write neatly and present the content in a proper manner. To make children aware of correct formation of letter with curves and to use punctuation, full stop, commas, capital letters at proper place.

FIRST GRADERS – I do , I understand

A group activity conducted on magic words . “please”, “thank you”, “sorry”, “may I”, excuse me. Children disscussed with group members and came up with word given to their group and spoke very confidently.

A group activity conducted on “Ascending order”.

This group activity helps children to compare numbers and arrange themselves according to the numbers on the flash card given from smallest to biggest which is called as “Ascending order”.

SECOND GRADERS – Art & values Special Assembly (Raksha Bandhan)

The 2nd graders presented an exhilarating Special Assembly on the eve of Raksha Bandhan. The tiny tots danced to the tunes of Bollywood numbers and mesmerized the audience with their performance. Kudos!!!

A finger puppet making activity was conducted to unleash the creativity of the students.

The circle time topic ‘Safety Rules’ was creatively taught. The students had to go and see the display boards of other classes with the similar theme and then discuss what they saw. It’s surely a Fun way to learn!!!!

CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION Calligraphy means writing legibly & beautifully. A calligraphy competition was organized aiming to encourage children to write neatly and present the content in a proper manner. All the children participated with enthusiasm. It was a great activity.

The fun races for grade IV were conducted in the first week of September. The events included balancing the ball and balancing the hanger. Children have enjoyed participating in these games.

General health check-up was done for all the students to ensure the health wellness of the children.

Book review competition was conducted to enhance the skill of reading in the students. The winners of the competition are Kvana Mehta, Hrishitha and Ishika. (from left to right).

THE FIFTH GRADERS - Rejoicing & reading!!! This month was special indeed for grade V as the Special Assembly put up by the fifth graders was a grand success. The assembly depicted the Ganesh festival celebrated in the state of Maharashtra. Apart from the dances, songs and skit, the students gave the message on the importance of using eco-friendly Ganesha idols.

What better way to improve one’s language skills than to read a book. The students of grade V participated in the book review competition. They spoke about their favourite books, interesting characters and the reason for recommending the book to the audience.

Class 6th Special Assembly The Assembly was on 14th

September 2016. The theme was “ Light Up The World By Igniting Your Minds”

On the same day we celebrated Onam and Hindi Divas.

The day began with traditional pookolam made at the entrance. The Special Assembly began with prayer song and traditional lighting of the lamp by our Directors and Educational Consultant. The glimpses of the events are as follows.

Meet our marketing teams. Laser Cosmos, Two in one umbrella, Luggage scooter, Nap pack. They have it all and sell it well. A group activity was conducted for our students where they had to advertise these products. This activity sure did display their creativity, confidence, communication skills and marketing strategies.

THE TENTH GRADERS DRIVE A HARD BARGAIN!

‘Cut a tree, cut a tree and there will be no more to see’ is a slogan that often haunts us homo-sapiens. Our tenth graders aesthetically dressed the display boards with a host of reasons reminding us the need to grow more trees and preserve the ones we have.

Vinayaka Chaturthi (Class Assembly) (Grade I) A great show was put up by the little ones which was appreciated and applauded by all. The mythological and epic story of Lord Ganesha’s birth was portrayed brilliantly. The costumes of the characters were colourful and captured the festive mood.

Fun Races (Grade I – V) This event filled with fun and frolic, rejuvenated the students’ sporting spirit. Each participant enjoyed competing in the fun races in full swing to reach the top position.

Primary Activities & Competitions (Grade I – V)

Teachers’ Day (Special Assembly) (Grade I – V) The special assembly had elements like speech, skit, songs and jokes for teachers etc. the day was made very special for teachers by honouring each teacher with specially designed badges. The Michaelite e-newsletter Sept 2016

Onam (Class Assembly) (Grade II) A well planned assembly that had a blend of culture, tradition and history mesmerized the audience. . Dance, songs, speech and loads of information saw a crisp assembly session. Students and teachers were dressed in their traditional best and added to the festivity.

Medical Camp (Grade I – V) The medical camp arranged by the school authorities, ensured the concern and care for the students’ good health. The students underwent a medical, dental and eye check up .Proper advice and course of treatment were giventhrough an elaborate case history.

Calligraphy Competition (Grade I & II) The little ones exposed their hidden talent- the art of writing skill in great style to create an impression in everyone’s mind and win the hearts of the judges to clinch the highest place.

Book Review Competition (Grade III – V) The selected participants spoke passionately about their favourite book giving all details clearly to the audience through their well planned speeches.

The Management celebrated the Teachers Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. Games were organized and the teachers were felicitated for their noble work. They were treated to a sumptuous lunch and goodies. Blessed to have such a wonderful Management.
