Teaching Excellence Award

Red River College’s School of Continuing Education (CE) is committed to recognizing outstanding instructors for their teaching excellence and support to our students. The Teaching Excellence Award will be presented at the annual Instructor Appreciation Reception.

Eligibility

Nominees must be a current CE instructor in a part‐time classroom/distance course or a full‐time fast‐track program

The nominated individuals must have a minimum four years of experience teaching within the School of Continuing Education

Individuals can receive the award only once

Criteria

Evidence of current innovative and effective teaching practices

Availability to students and willingness to assist and mentor students

Evidence of valuing and responding to various kinds of diversity among students Outstanding teaching practice

Nomination Procedures

Only one nomination form and supporting documentation is to be submitted for a nominee.

The nomination form must be signed by the nominee.

Nominations can be from informed individuals (e.g. teaching colleagues, program manager, dean/director, or student or industry member) who can attest to the nominee’s accomplishments.

Selection Process

Nominations for the award will close on April 31st.
