TEAM

Team members are involved in thesetting of goals and the objectives ofthe team.

Objectives are understood by all

members. All individuals agree with the objective

set.

Objectives are set and met withinrealistic time frames.

Team establishes high standards ofperformance for itself, rather thanbeing pressured to perform.

Team members are close in physicalproximity and able to meet regularly.

The appropriate skills are present in theteam.

Leadership struggle occurs whichinvolves active participation by allcliques; typical attempts to resolvestruggles like this in a team include:voting, compromise and seeking

arbitration from an outside group.

As the team walk towards maturity therewill be an attempt to achieve harmony byavoiding conflict.

When conflict arises, it is dealt with as amutual problem rather than a win-losebattle.

More friendliness, confiding in each other,and sharing of personal problems;discussing the team dynamics.

Group members give up their attempts tocontrol and substitute an attitude of activelistening.

As team members begin to work outtheir differences, they now have moretime and energy to spend on trying tointegrate and synchronize differentideas offered by individual members of
