• Five-time US and North American Rally Racing Champion, Tim O’Neil is one of America’s
brightest rally stars. At the height of his career with Volkswagen and Mitsubishi, Tim withdrew
from competition to follow his passion to teach.
In 1997, Tim O’Neil’s dream became reality. O’Neil started small with only a few cars and a
limited yet dedicated staff. Tim continued to run his hugely popular local maintenance shop while
he researched land in hopes of finding a perfect location...a place where the weather can be as
challenging as it is inspiring, the demands on the driver unrelenting, and the rewards of
mastering the “art” of driving unmatched. A place where four season training was possible. The
site for the school – the Great North Woods of New Hampshire – was a foregone conclusion.
In 2000, O’Neil’s dream of running a successful school seemed solid enough to warrant the
selling of his maintenance shop and the purchasing of a 300 acre tract of land. With the
maintenance shop sold and a perfect location found, O’Neil was able to focus completely on his
dream.
Team O’Neil Rally School and Car Control Center has grown into a company that takes great
pride in the training of each and every client as well as the personal and professional
development of each and every employee. From Tim’s passion, a serious business enterprise
has grown – a company that balances professionalism and growth with the informal culture that
clients and employees alike have come to expect and enjoy.

Rally School
School Vision & Mission
Vision: To lead the world in performance driver education.
Mission Statement: To provide a safe and realistic environment for students of all abilities to develop a high level
of driving (driver) performance and automotive awareness through world-class instruction,
teamwork, and development of state-of-the art technology.
Our driving school exists to offer a safe driving environment for our students to learn to be better drivers and
improve their responses to a variety of less than perfect driving scenarios. Our students learn skid control,
accident avoidance, and vehicle dynamics.
Students learn both classroom theory and hands-on experience through a progression of skill building exercises.
These exercises begin on the skid pad, then move to the braking area and then through the slalom courses. Our
more advanced students utilize our drive-around junction arena. All rally school students also learn and employ
the Left Foot Braking Technique (LFB) in controlling the vehicle.
