Getting Started: Launch Your Fundraiser Ready to raise money fast? Ready to have happy sponsors?

Blast Athletics is the top online sports fundraiser on the market. Sports teams can raise substantial money with minimal effort, then reward their sponsors simply by posting scores, photos and videos. A motivated team can

create and launch their fundraiser in 30 minutes, here’s how:

1. Create Team & Fundraiser (5 min)

Coach/Team Admin registers for a free account on BlastAthetics.com. During the joining process, you will be prompted to ‘Create Your Team’.

Once created, click on your Team Name, then ‘Create Fundraiser’ and follow the steps. Side note: Team admins running fundraisers linked to schools must verify their relationship with Blast. To expedite verification,[email protected].

2. Team Signs Up & Enters Contacts

As soon as the fundraiser is created, Parents and Athletes can register then enter their list of potential sponsors email and cell phone numbers. When the fundraiser is ready to launch, these pre-entered invitations will be sent at once.

Athletes and Parents just go to BlastAthletics.com and click Register. Instead of “Create My Team’, they select ‘Join My Team’. A yellow ‘Invite Sponsors’ button will be front and center after they have joined.

After the fundraiser is launched, your team can share to social media.

3. Details, Video & Launch (25 min)

Follow the Pre-Launch Checklist to enter the details. It’s quick and your Blast Rep is here to help. You can do this before, during and after Step 2.

Anyone with an iPhone or iPad can shoot the video in as little as 10 minutes. Rotate athletes in the video, sponsors get excited when they see their loved one speak.

4. Get Your Money Now

Blast creates each team an online bank account that can either direct deposit your team’s money or send checks, your choice. As soon as a donation clears, your team can withdrawal it. No waiting for a check in a few months or nagging your rep. Teams are always in control of their money.

Ready for the easiest fundraiser? Each athlete is asked to work with their parents to create a list of potential sponsors,

then enter them into the fundraiser page on BlastAthletics.com.

Athlete Instructions: (must be 13 yrs or older to join)1. Go to www.BlastAthletics.com and Register. Check your email & join your team. 2. Click Invite Sponsors (yellow button) and enter the list below.

Parent Instructions:1. Help your son/daughter create and enter the list of contacts below. Parents of athletes under 13 years old must enter the contact using their own account, since you must be 13 years old to have a Blast account. 2. Go to www.BlastAthletics.com and Register. Check your email & join our team. Each parent needs their own account. Blast will be used for schedules, photos, videos, announcements and more.

Good Contacts: Family, friends, neighbors. Parents please add: co-workers, wedding party, college friends…

Do Not Include: Anyone under 21, Coaches or Teachers

Important: No contact information is shared, sold or used for any other purposes by Blast Athletics other than this fundraiser. Contacts will receive 1 immediate request and 3-4 reminders.

Local companies want to advertise to your players, coaches, fans and sponsors. Now, through Blast, teams can sell them ad space on their email communications. Your team members will open around 75% of emails sent this season, making it the perfect vehicle to advertise local companies. You sell the ads, you keep 82%, Blast does the rest.

Tracking Participation and Donations

Blast provides Team Admins with a suite of analytics, including individual athlete participation and donations. Admins can see who each athlete requested donations from, as well as how many times their unique link has been viewed.

Click the player’s name for a breakdown of who sponsored them and who they sent requests for donations to.

The success of this fundraiser hinges on participation. Blast allows Team Admins to pinpoint the participation, or lack thereof.

Club Teams: Give Each Individual the Option to Fundraise

Teams can now offer a fundraiser where each individual has the option to participate, or not. In club especially, some need to fundraise and others refuse. We allow teams to make it optional athlete to athlete. Since Blast tracks player donations individually, and the team gets the proceeds, simply deduct what is raised from what is owed to play!
