Title USAF Fulfills Software Requirements with TeamSpec

Summary The Warfighter’s Edge Team (WEdge) is dedicated to developing software applications, or supporting those who do, that improve mission effectiveness and daily operations of the warfighter. The operation is based at the United States Air Force Academy's Institute for Information Technology Applications (IITA).

Situation For one project, the contract required that software design description meet IEEE 1016 specifications. The WEdge needed to provide documentation that described code changed at the class level.

Benefit The WEdge Team discovered that TeamSpec could simplify their software project obligations significantly. With the use of Team Foundation Server queries, all of the necessary documentation could be generated and kept up-to-date as the project progressed.

Many of the client machines are on an intranet not publicly exposed to the outside world making software installation difficult.
