The La Fenice Theater, a glorious theater founded in 1792, is still one of the main Italian and European theaters. It is first of all a repertory theater, which finds its roots in the great heritage of Italian 19th century opera: for La Fenice, Rossini wrote Tancredi and Semiramide, Belli-ni I Capuleti e I Montecchi, Verdi wrote five operas, among which La Traviata and Rigoletto. During the 20th centu-ry also, La Fenice was an international reference point, with world premieres of works such as Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Pro-gress, and Britten’s The Turn of the Screw, Prokofiev’s The Fiery Angel and Nono’s Intolerance, and attention to contem-porary creativity continues to be one of the highlights of its programme, as recent premieres of works by Kagel, Guarnieri, Mosca and Ambrosini have shown. The summer festival “Lo spirito della musica di Venezia” - the spirit of Venezia’s music - will be one of the strong points of the summer schedule and will touch, aside from the La Fenice Theater, also the Ma-libran Theatre and the Palazzo Ducale, along with many churches and historical palaces in the city, where operas, ballets and concerts will take place. The annual concert season of the La Fenice Thea-ter Orchestra is also particularly rich, featuring renowned maestros among which the young main conductor Diego Matheuz, and will include, during the course of 2013, some extraordinary pre-stigious symphonic concerts: a Wagnerian concert by the Dresden Staatskapelle in May, directed by Christian Thielemann and, during the fall, a concert to com-memorate the 10th anniversary of the reopening of the La Fenice Theatre after the 1996 fire which completely destroyed the theatre. And great expectations also surround the inauguration of the 2013-2014 season in November with Meyer-beer’s L’africaine, on the 150th anniver-sary of the composer’s death.

Il Teatro La Fenice, glorioso teatro nato nel 1792, è a tutt’oggi uno dei maggiori teatri italiani ed europei. È prima di tutto un teatro di repertorio, che affonda le sue radici nel grande patrimonio dell’opera italiana ottocen-tesca: per la Fenice Rossini scrisse Tan-credi e Semiramide, Bellini I Capuleti e i Montecchi, Verdi cinque opere tra cui La traviata e Rigoletto. Ma anche nel Novecento la Fenice è stata punto di riferimento internazionale, con pri-me mondiali di lavori quali The Rake’s Progress di Stravinskij, The Turn of the Screw di Britten, L’angelo di fuoco di Prokof ’ev e Intolleranza di Nono, e l’attenzione alla creatività contempo-ranea continua ad essere uno dei fiori all’occhiello della sua programmazio-ne, come dimostrano le recenti prime assolute di opere di Kagel, Guarnieri, Mosca e Ambrosini. Il festival estivo «Lo spirito della musica di Venezia» sarà uno dei punti di forza della pro-grammazione estiva e toccherà, oltre al Teatro La Fenice, al Teatro Malibran e a Palazzo Ducale, moltissime chiese e palazzi storici della città con opere, balletti e concerti. Particolarmente ricca è anche l’annuale stagione di concerti dell’Orchestra del Teatro La Fenice, guidata da celebri maestri tra cui il giovane direttore principale Diego Matheuz, cui si aggiungeran-no nel corso del 2013 alcuni presti-giosi concerti sinfonici straordinari: in maggio un concerto wagneriano della Staatskapelle di Dresda diretta da Christian Thielemann e in autun-no un concerto per il decennale della riapertura del Teatro La Fenice dopo l’incendio del 1996 che lo distrusse completamente. E grande attesa cir-conda l’inaugurazione della stagione 2013-2014, prevista a novembre con L’africaine di Meyerbeer nel 150° an-niversario della morte del compositore.

ル“Lo spirito della musica di Venezia” - ベネチア音楽のスピリット - 夏のスケジュールの強化されたポイントの一つでフェニーチェ座からマリブラン座、Palazzo Ducaleやオペラ、バレー、コンサートが開かれる多くの教会や街の歴史的な宮殿で催されます。フェニーチェ座オーケストラの年度コンサートシーズンは特に豊かなもので、有名な若いメインの指揮者 Diego Matheuzを含む作曲家達が登場します。2013年度中開催の臨時の高名なオーケストラコンサートは：5月のDresden Staatskapelle、監督Christian ThielemannによるWagnerianコンサート、秋には1996年火事で焼失したフェニーチェ座の再開を祝う10周年コンサートがあります。また2013-2014年度の開始は11月にMeyerbeerのL’africaineが作曲家の死後150年を祝って開催されます。

Fondazione Teatro La Fenice e la

Biennale di Venezia hanno affidato

scene e costumi di Madama Butterfly,

l’opera giapponese di Giacomo

Puccini, che con le sue due serie di

rappresentazioni, in giugno e in

ottobre, costituirà uno degli eventi

speciali della 55. Biennale d’Arte.

Mariko Mori is one of the most

visible Japanese contemporary artists

in the West. Her work is inspired by a

blend of Ancient Traditional Japanese

culture and sophisticated technology

that is used today. Therefore, the

La Fenice Theater Foundation and

the Venice Biennale have asked her

to provide scenery and costumes

for Madama Butterfly, Giacomo

Puccini’s Japanese opera, and with

its two series of performances in June

and October, the event will constitute

one of the special events of the 55th

International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale.

Requiem nella suggestiva cornice

entrambe da Myung–Whun

Chung, le due produzioni

costituiranno l’omaggio del festival

al bicentenario verdiano.

The peak events of the summer

festival “Lo Spirito della musica di

Venezia” will be, during the month

of July, the production of Verdi’s

Otello and the Messa da Requiem

in the beautiful setting of the Doge’s

Palace Courtyard, according to a

happy tradition dating back to the

Sixties. The two performances, both

directed by Myung-Whun Chung,

are the festival’s tribute to Verdi’s bicentenary.

A secular opera house situated in the very heart of the city of Venice, Teatro La Feni-ce offers private figures and companies the possibility to organise exclusive events in its venues. The Foyer, the auditorium, the Sale Apollinee and Teatro Ma-libran are suitable for a variety of events.Each event is planned and studied together with the client.

Le Sale Apollinee possono essere riservate congiuntamente o singo-larmente per organizzare:cene placè o a buffet per serate di gala, ricevimenti di matrimonio, feste esclusive, concerti privati, convegni, meeting aziendali, con-ferenze stampa, attività relazionali, coffee Break, light lunch, brunch durante convegni e altre attività re-lazionali.Il numero di persone indicate rappresen-ta la capacità massima delle singole sale che può variare a seconda della tipologia dell’evento scelto.

Il Teatro Malibran è oggi una prestigiosa sede della Fondazione Teatro La Fenice ed ospita diversi appuntamenti della stagione lirico-sinfonica del Teatro.E’ la location per organizzare ma-nifestazioni musicali, artistiche e culturali.Il Teatro Malibran ospita fino a 800 persone.

Today Teatro Malibran is one of the prestigious venues of Fonda-zione Teatro La Fenice and various dates of Opera House’s opera-symphony season take place here.It is an ideal location for the organi-sation of music, artistic and cultural events.Teatro Malibran can accommodate up to 800 people.
