TECH TALK
Please provide details on the eco design dimension of project
• Zero carbon emission, Our ship uses a hybrid electric propulsion system that utilizes sunlight to be used as an energy source. this certainly has an impact on the carbon footprint that is produced when our ships are used. Our ship does not produce exhaust emissions that are harmful to the surrounding environment. When we compare it with diesel engines, in general, diesel engines produce 2.62 kg of CO2 per liter of fuel. Of course this is very significant in reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
• Reducing energy consumption, from the steering and propulsion system that we made We did the fabrication as light as possible and as strong as possible. So that the use of energy can be channeled efficiently. Hydros 2020 makes innovation by making propulsion coloumn with the lowest drag possible and the strongest material strength so that the safety of the ship itself is obtained and the use of energy can be more efficient.
• To maximize this we do a simulation with the help of a third party (Chroma) using NUMECA software, we get a drag force when the ship moves at an average of 7 meter per second which is the lowest of 18 N. In the previous year Hydros 2019 did not use this so there is no data to compare it.

TECH TALK
Please provide details on the main innovative feature of your project
• Make the cockpit closer to the water by making a cavity in the design of the cockpit, carbon materials is resistant to corrosion. This is useful because the boat will sail in seawater . It will also reduce the cockpit weight from 45 kg to 30 kg for the same design.
• Making engine mount from fibre composite material, where the purpose is to make the mounting lighter, where last year the weight is 8 KG, this year we reduce it to 2 Kg, We change the material to Composite material. where last year we use aluminum. Weight rudder is 6 kg, where the last year weight is 16 kg
• LoRa is a ,Long Range, low power wireless standard intended for providing a cellular style low data rate communications network, This technology enabling the transfer of information over a range of tens of kilometers. Energy monitoring can provide new opportunities for energy consumption or generation measurement, and data processing, including decisions on real-time.
Innovation
TECH TALK
Efficience Gain
• Provide lot of new topics for research and development
• The systems (mechanic and electric) are easy to maintain and user friendly
Description
• the propulsion that we have made specifically according to the boat that we have designed, this propulsion is also not an item that has been on the market. We have low cost for production. Our
propeller use composite that reach 39,4% efficiency
