CELESTION CDV1-1757 COMPRESSION DRIVER The Celeson, CDV1-1757 is a mass-noficaon compression driver specifically de- signed for opmum performance across the crical vocal band. This makes the prod- uct ideal for voice applicaons where maximum clarity and intelligibility is demanded, with the capability to reach audiences over the greatest possible distance. The CDV1-1757 features Celeson technology built-in, including a 1.75” (44mm) edgewound copper clad aluminium voice coil; tough, single piece polyimide diaphragm/surround; plus finite element analysis (FEA) opmised magnet assembly and phase plug. This enables the driver to deliver 120W connuous power handling (60Wrms, AES standard) and 107dB sensivity. It features a next- generaon proprietary Sound Castle™ diaphragm clamping system for superb reliability, even in the most demanding of applicaons. “Pure vocal applicaons require a more applicaon-specific approach to compression driver design,” says Celeson Head of Engineering, Paul Cork. “By taking a fresh look at one of our exisng designs--modifying the phase plug and opmising the volume of the rear loading chamber--we were able to create a device that gave addional focus to the part of the frequency range where the voice sits. This led us to develop the CDV1-1757, a driver with a greater vocal output level together with enhanced clarity.” A standard 1.38” (35mm) screw fing on the CDV1-1757 provides maximum compability with a range of Celeson and third party horn flares. CELESTION CDV1-1757 COMPRESSION DRIVER The Celestion, CDV1-1757 is a mass-notification compression driver specifically de-signed for optimum performance across the critical vocal band. This makes the prod-uct ideal for voice applications where maximum clarity and intelligibility is demanded, with the capability to reach audiences over the greatest possible distance.

The CDV1-1757 features Celestion technology built-in, including a 1.75” (44mm) edgewound copper clad aluminium voice coil; tough, single piece polyimide diaphragm/surround; plus finite element analysis (FEA) optimised magnet assembly and phase plug. This enables the driver to deliver 120W continuous power handling (60Wrms, AES standard) and 107dB sensitivity. It features a next- generation proprietary Sound Castle™ diaphragm clamping system for superb reliability, even in the most demanding of applications.

“Pure vocal applications require a more application-specific approach to compression driver design,” says Celestion Head of Engineering, Paul Cork. “By taking a fresh look at one of our existing designs--modifying the phase plug and optimising the volume of the rear loading chamber --we were able to create a device that gave additional focus to the part of the frequency range where the voice sits. This led us to develop the CDV1-1757, a driver with a greater vocal output level together with enhanced clarity.”

A standard 1.38” (35mm) screw fitting on the CDV1-1757 provides maximum compatibility with a range of Celestion and third party horn flares.
