Webinar on Content Management Systems Using Drupal and WordPress - 19th October

2020 - 12.30 pm to 2:45 pm

The webinar was conducted under Center of Excellence -Web Technologies. The Webinar

was to create awareness about the web site building technologies tools - Drupal and

WordPress. Speakers explained about Content Management Systems and their benefits in

general. Also explained about Drupal, WordPress and gave a short demo of how one can

create a website using them. The difference between WordPress and Drupal is explained.

Listed and discussed many websites which were built using WordPress.

A webinar on “Cloud Computing and its Emerging Trends” was organised on 7 th October 2020, 10:00

to 11.30am by Centre of Excellence – Web Technologies, MCA(BU) in Association with Upskill

iQ .The Session started with an introduction to Cloud computing services and models, followed by

the emerging trends in cloud domain. Hands-on demonstration on Storage account creation,

Containerization and Services in Microsoft Azure was provided. The session concluded with a quiz

for the participants.

A Webinar on “Decision Tree and Random Forest” - 1st October 2020

This workshop was conducted by IBM on Decision Tree and Random Forest. The session

started with explanation of Decision Tree which is a type of model used for both

Classification and Regression. A Random Forest is simply a collection of Decision Trees

whose results are aggregated into one final result. The algorithm was explained clearly in

Jupyter Notebook by taking the data set.

IBM Workshop Series – V on “Machine Learning with Python-K Means Clustering

Algorithm”: – 24th Sep 2020

This workshop was conducted by IBM to enlighten the students on how to use python for Machine learning.

This was the fifth session of the workshop from the series of a total number of six sessions of the workshop

named “Machine Learning with Python”. Today’s session focussed on different clustering algorithms in

particular K Means Clustering Algorithm. The session started with explanation of unsupervised learning.

Followed by detailed explanation of K-means clustering which is one of the simplest and popular unsupervised

machine learning algorithm. The algorithm was explained clearly in Jupyter Notebook by taking the data set.

IBM Workshop Series – IV on “Machine Learning with Python”: – 17th Sep 2020

This workshop was conducted by IBM to enlighten the students on how to use python for Machine learning.

The session was discussed practically on jupyter notebook while importing numpy, panda and matplotlib

modules and also practically discussed on Logistic regression and Linear regression using some practical

examples.

This workshop was conducted by IBM to enlighten the students on how to use python for Machine learning.

This was the third session of the workshop from the series of six sessions of the workshop named “Machine

Learning with Python”. The topics discussed were Introduction to Machine Learning, Types of Machine

This webinar was conducted to spread awareness about how job opportunities have decreased due to the

situation of COVID 19 and how it is affecting all the employees in the corporate sector. Further, the

importance of certifications or specialisations which play a major role in the hiring of an employee was

discussed. Then the speaker of the day Manish Kumar Singh took over and started with making the students

familiar with what is Python and how is it more user friendly, easier to learn and advanced than the present

languages.
