TDS-33-1.0-1606 TECHNICAL DATA SHEET Penetrating, Stain-resistant, Clear sealer for Natural Stone and Clay PRO TECH SERIES PRODUCT OVERVIEW AQUA-X TM 33 is designed for use by professional contractors who demand excellent products, providing the performance to exceed their customers' expectations. AQUA-X TM 33 is a water-based, penetrating silicone water repellent that provides a moisture resistant barrier on natural stone and other dense surfaces while also adding a level of stain protection that is unmatched in a water repellent sealer. TESTING DATA Water Loss in Rilem Tubes Time (hours) ml 2 0.0 4 0.0 24 0.2 APPLICATION PROCESS 1. PREPARE Clean the surfaces thoroughly. The surface to be treated should be properly cleaned before AQUA-X TM 33 is applied. The surface should be free of dirt, oil, contaminants, and any other substance that could interfere with the sealer penetrating the surface as intended. 2. TEST Perform a small test area (at least 2 sq. ft.) using the product to ensure suitability and the desired results prior to full application. Test for application coverage rate. Use the same preparation, equipment and conditions expected during the entire application. Due to the wide variety of substrates, preparation methods, application methods and environments, the customer should test the product in an inconspicuous spot for penetration and compatibility prior to full application. 3. Application Ensure proper surface conditions. Prior to application, the surface should be completely dry for best results. The surface temperature should be between 30-120° F (-1-49° C), and it should be maintained for 12 hours from the start of application. Do not apply below 40°F (4°C) or above 95°F (35°C). If freezing conditions exist before application, let the surface thaw. The water carrier may freeze at low temperatures or evaporate in hot conditions. Both conditions impair penetration and results. Do not apply if rain is expected within 3 hours. Do not dilute or alter this product. Use the proper equipment. We recommend a high-pressure pump-up or battery-type sprayer with a 0.5 GPM fan-tip to produce a proper spray pattern. Alternatively, a 3/8" to 3/4 " nap roller can be used. Generally, apply one coat of Apply AQUA-X TM 33 with low-pressure spray equipment (15 psi), or with a paint roller. Use a fan type spray nozzle for best uniform results. Avoid atomization of material. On vertical surfaces, apply the material from the bottom of the wall upwards spraying so that it will run down the surface at least six inches below the spray pattern. If a second coat is required, much less material will be needed. On horizontal surfaces, saturate in a single application. Use enough material to keep the surface wet for 3-4 minutes before AQUA-X TM 33 completely penetrates the surface. Caution: Smooth or back roll any product that puddles on the surface. Dense surfaces will only require a single application. Use enough sealer to completely wet the surface without creating drips, puddles or rundown. Do not over apply. Typically, the surface can be reopened to traffic in one hour, if the temperature is at 72°F (33°C) or above. Surface should be visibly dry.

CLEANUPPlaceanyunusedsealerbackintooriginalcontainertostoreforfutureusewithin12monthsofmanufacturedate.Cleanequipmentthoroughlyuntilfreeofsealerresidue.Sealerwillstainclothing,butcanberemovedfromskinwithamildcleaner.Storeandhandleproperly.Donotlettheproductfreeze;anddisposeofproperlyifitisallowedtofreeze.Pleasenote:WastefromthisproductisnothazardousasdefinedundertheResourceConservationandRecoveryAct(RCRA)40CFR261.Incinerateinapprovedfacility.Donotincinerateclosedcontainer.DisposeofinaccordancewithFederal,State/Provincial,andLocalregulationsregardingpollution.

MAINTAINRemoveoilandotherfluidsfromthesealedsurfaceassoonaspossibleusingamildcleaningagent,suchasTHEBOSSTM.Ifthetreatedsurfacebecomescontaminatedwithdirt,dust,pollen,orothersubstances,itwillimpedethevisualwaterbeadingeffect.Simplypressurewashthesurfacetoremovethecontaminatesandtheproductwillcontinuetorepelmoisture.Generally,alightpressurewashisallthatisrequired.Ifacleanerisneeded,werecommendusingTHEBOSS™cleaner.Donotuseharshchemicals(e.g.,paintthinners,strippers,solvents)onthesealedareas.
