COMPETITION FORMAT The competition will follow the simple elimination format. The losers of the semi-finals in each event will receive a bronze medal.
Combat DurationAs per AIBA’s Technical and Competition Regulations, combats will take place as follows:
A) Men’s: 3 rounds, 3 minutes each. 1 minute nbreak between rounds.
B) Women’s: 3 rounds, 3 minutes each. 1 minute break between rounds.
ELIGIBILITY To participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018, the competitor must follow the provisions of the Central American and Caribbean Games’ Regulations and the Rules of the International Boxing Association (AIBA), besides he or she must be entered by its NOC according to Chapter IX of CACSO Statute.
ENTRIES
All countries through the corresponding NOC, must send their Sport Entry requests in the official forms that the Organizing Committee will send at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20, 2018. They must indicate in the form the divisions in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games “Barranquilla 2018”. (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site “Barranquilla 2018”). If recognized by the Pan American Confederation of said sport and CACSO, Associate Members may

ENTRY BY NUMBER
The Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each division and gender) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia’s time) of April 20, 2018 according to CACSO’s Regulation, Chapter VIII.
ENTRY BY NAME
For each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Ba-rranquilla, Colombia’s time) of Wednesday June 20, 2018 according CACSO’s Regulations, Chapter VIII.
Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, to be delivered six months before the Games. If you have any doubt or for clarification purposes, the Organizing Committee has this e-mail ad-dress at your disposal: [email protected]
MINIMUM PARTICIPATION For an event to be considered official they must have a minimum of five (5) representations, representing the same number of National Olympic Committees (NOCs). In the event one or more represen-tations, after the Technical Meeting takes place, may not participate due to force majeure (verified by CACSO) the event will be carried out with a minimum of four (4) representations of the same number
of Olympic Committees.
GENERAL RULES
The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 shall be held in accordance with CACSO Statute and the Rules of the corresponding International Federation in force during the Games. Cases not provided in the regulations mentioned above shall be resolved as follows:
A. Cases of general nature shall be resolved in accordance with CACSO Statute and with the Rules of the Central American and Ca-ribbean Games.
B. Cases of technical nature shall be resolved in accordance with the procedures of the Pan-American Confederation or the Continental Organism.
UNIFORMS AND SPORT EQUIPMENT
The Rules of the Central American and Caribbean Games and of the co-rresponding International Federation shall be followed, and also the Rule 51 of IOC, according to the regulations established for the NOCs with respect to Use of Registered Trade Marks of the Manufacturers.
PARTICIPATION
Only the NOCs recognized by CACSO, with National Boxing Federa-tions that are members of the International Boxing Association (AIBA Association Intérnationale de Boxe) and to the American Boxing Con-federation (AMBC) can enter athletes to the Bowling competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. If recognized by AMBC, Associated members recognized by CAC-

SO may also be allowed to participate.
MAXIMUM NUMBEROF COMPETITORS
According to the quota established by CAC-SO the Boxing competition shall have a maxi-mum of one hundred and forty eight (148) athletes, eighteen (18) women and one hun-dred and thirty (130) men.
Each NOC may enter a maximum of one (1) athlete per weight division per gender, as long as they meet the AMBC qualifying crite-ria for the XXIII Central American and Carib-bean Games, Barranquilla 2018.
AGE OF COMPETITORS
TECHNICAL MEETING
The Technical Meeting will take place on July 24th, 2018 at the “JUMBO” Hall of the Country Club of Barranquilla at 11:00 a.m.
• Up to two representatives of each NOC may at-tend this Technical Meeting..
• The Technical Delegate and the AMBC Repre-sentative will preside the meeting, which shall take place in Spanish with translation to English.
TECHNICAL OFFICIALS
Technical personnel will be designated by the American Boxing Confederation (AMBC).
PROTESTS AND APPEALS
According to AIBA’s Technical Rules, no protest is allowed and combat decisions are final.
DRAW
Draw will take place on July 24, at 11 am.
Competitors must be at least 19 years old and up to 40 years old. The competitors will have 16 between 19 and 40 years maximum, having been born between January 1, 1978 and December 31, 1999 and the classification age will be between 19 to 40 years from the official start date of the competition.
Judges and referees are designated AMBC and/or AIBA, as per the rules established by AIBA, these officials must have two and three-star certificates.

The Central American and Caribbean Games Regulation and the corresponding International Federation regulations must be fol-lowed as well as Rule 51 of the IOC, as per the rules established for NOCs in the Guidelines for the Use of Manufacturers Trademarks.

DOPINGCONTROL
Doping control will be done according to CACSO’s Medical Commis-sion requirements, according to the Regulation of the International Boxing Association and will follow the current version of the World Anti Doping Agency procedures (WADA).
