● PTTMetro is a Brazilian Internet Steering Committee project (CGI.br).

● Provide NAP facility in metropolitan regions with ISPs interested in Internet traffic exchange

● Mains advantages :– Cost Reduction– Performance improvement– Gain more control over their routing

Joining requirements● ASN (Autonomous System Number) ● BGP-4 (Border Gateway Protocol Version 4) ● Needs to sign a connection agreement (“Termo de Conexão

ao PTTMetro”).● Needs to make bilateral or multilateral peering agreements

with ISPs connected to the PTTMetro.● Connection in one PIX per location.● Broadcast traffic limited to ARP resolution● Default route to an ISP only if authorized by it.● If announce IP prefixes related to other AS connected to

PTTMetro it needs to be marked with NEXT_HOP_SELF
