IMPORTANT NOTICEBy signing the application, the exhibitor commits to upholding all clauses of the «General Regulations» and the «Exhibition Regulations,» and also to ensure that they are upheld by all other stakeholders (installers, decorators...) The General Regulations of the French Federation of Exhibitions can be obtained on request from GL events Exhibitions - Fax: +33 (0)5 53 36 78 79. Please specify the exhibition in question.

1- Floor, pillars, and wallsIt is forbidden to drill, screw, nail, or seal the walls, cladding panels, pillars, or floors of the halls, including in order to fasten machinery being exhibited. For any exceptions, please contact the Parc des Expositions, which will provide a quote based on your plans. At the close of the exhibition, you will be charged a lump sum of €450 plus VAT per undeclared hole. In addition, it is forbidden to paint or mark the walls, pillars, and floors of the halls.

Permissible ground load:Setups and equipment, including during the installation phase (the weight of transport and lifting machinery must be compatible with the load that can be effectively borne by the hall’s floors. The permissible load in all the exhibition halls of Parc Expo de Rennes is set at 1,000 kg / m2. The transportation and setup of loads exceeding the limits mentioned above must be the object of a specific written request addressed to Parc des Expositions de Rennes. The exhibitor and any contractors must ensure that ground loads are properly distributed, and in particular with regard to the service ducts throughout the halls. If necessary, exhibitors can be required to interpose weight distribution plates. Your booth must be restored to its original state by the close of the exhibition. All trash (carpets, adhesives ...) must be removed. Any damage reported during the dismantling of booths will be charged to the exhibitor. The exhibitor is responsible for all service providers: decorators, installers, contractors.

2 - Installation of booths and presentation of equipmentAll equipment must be presented in a way that does not cause any inconvenience or prejudice to neighboring booths. No equipment should extend beyond the booth. Products being displayed are not limited in height (except the height of the building), as long as all signs and labels affixed on them follow the exhibition’s guidelines.

3 - SoundsThe sound strength of entertainment (music, video) shall in no case exceed 80 dB (A)—measured within an area of 2.50 m around the booth—with no exceptions, even short-term ones.

4 - Double-story boothExhibitors wishing to build a double-story booth must make a prior request for a building permit, no later than December 1st, 2017 using the form that will be sent on request. Upon receipt of the building permit, and depending on the approved surface area, the exhibitor will finalize the project and forward it to our service, which will give the final stamp of approval after verification of the booth’s compliance with design and safety regulations. Accordingly, the detailed plans for double-story booths must be sent by email for approval no later than two months before the start of the exhibition (i.e., 01.08.2018). The plans must include an estimated weight and height, indicating the heights of walls and pillars, details of the staircase, and a view in perspective of the booth. Any plan that does not match this description will not be validated. The plans should take into account the regulations concerning height and positioning, as well as the following:

1 - Height: the total height of structures, construction elements, and signage shall not exceed 5 meters from the ground.

2 - Maximum Load: loads must meet the applicable nF P 06-001 standard. Railings must meet the nF P 01-012 and nF P 90-500 standards.

3 - Second floor and staircase: Staircases must be located at least 1 meter from the booth walls, so as not to allow a direct view of neighboring booths. Where it is necessary to have two staircases, they should be diametrically opposed.

4 - Covered booths - ceilings and suspended ceilings - raised booths: If the surface area of these booths or premises is greater than 50m2, each of them must have appropriate means of fire extinction that remain manned by at least one fire security guard during opening hours.

5 - Ceilings: The second floors should not be covered with a solid roof or canopy.

6 - Positioning: the entire second floor of a booth (between 2.5 m and 5 m in height), must be set back by 0.5 m from the aisles and 1.50 m from the adjoining booths.

However, in the case of two adjoining double-story booths, each must be set back by 2 m (the minimum distance between two adjoining floors = 4 m), to comply with safety regulations.

REGULATIONS GOVERNING DECORATION AND ENTERTAINMENT

Any booth that does not respect the design rules will be subject to modifications by exhibition staff during assembly. You must turn in the design of your booth (both floor and wall plans) for approval no later than, January 26, 2018, at the following address:

10 - Use of gas cylindersThe number of gas cylinders should be kept to a minimum. Storing of gas cylinders at the booth is forbidden. They are required to be connected and attached to the machine. It is preferred to use empty or dummy bottles instead; these must be identified and marked by the exhibitor.

11 – LeafletsThe distribution of leaflets, flyers, etc. is strictly prohibited outside the booths, including in public areas around the halls (reception gallery, parking lot, and esplanade).

12 - Equipment in operationAll equipment presented in operation for the duration of the exhibition must be declared to security cabinet A2F Securite, failing which they will be neutralized. All displays and demonstrations are carried out under the sole responsibility of the exhibitor. In addition, the only machines or equipment permitted to be exhibited in operation are those that have been found to comply with the Safety Commission’s regulations.

13 - Moving equipmentA protected area must be established so that the public cannot get closer than 1 m. This minimum safety distance may be increased depending on the characteristics of the equipment being exhibited. These provisions apply to all booths, including those outside the halls.

14 – Access for people with reduced mobilityBooths with a floor height greater than 2 cm must have a means of access for people with reduced mobility. Such access should have a minimum width of 0.90 m and a maximum incline of 5%.

1 GENERAL

Safety regulations regarding the risk of fire and panic in facilities that are open to the public have been established by the Decree of June 25, 1980 (general provisions). The Decree of November 18, 1987, sets the particular provisions that apply to exhibition halls. The following text consists of excerpts of these regulations, in order to facilitate understanding.

Any major project must be submitted for approval by the exhibition’s Safety Manager. Plans and technical information must be provided a month before the start of the exhibition.

During assembly, the Safety Manager will ensure the application of the following safety regulations. Furthermore, all information regarding fire safety can be obtained from:

Cabinet A2F SécuritéLieu dit “KERNAU” 56450 Theix - France
