In the early 1900s there were no televisions, computers, gameboys, iPods, etc. Children almost always played outside. Most of their activities were to be done outside. Kids were almost always allowed to go outside and play. They always went outside to play games with their friends. Now parents barely allow their children to play outside of their house with their neighbors or friends. Children came up with their own adventures. They would always pretend things when they played. They played hide and seek, tag, and also spied on their neighbors. They also played with dolls and with marbles. Now children play games on computers, on iPods, with gameboys, board games, and even on TV. Children go to theme parks and even to parks.

In the 1900s children had no electronic games , therefore they would come up with their own games. They would spy on their neighbors to entertain themselves. Children would also would play hide and seek with their friends.

Small children often played with their dolls since they were small and other older children didn’t want them to play with them because their games were too hard for them. They often played with their dolls by themselves or with their friends.

Children used to play a game with marbles, where u had to have a circle made of string or drawn out they had to try and knock out the marbles out of the circle with one marble. They used to play this game as a way to entertain themselves. Not many people have continued playing this game but some still do play with marbles.

In the 1900s children always used to go on the swings they would swing for hours and would have a great time imagining things. All though still swings are still used today, children often don’t go on swings as kids used to. Instead they play with other things like their Nintendo's.

Today many children go to them parks mostly with their friends. In the 1900s since there were no rollercoaster's children would go on swings, see-saws, or would even climb trees. Today many children enjoy going to theme parks.

Teenagers today go to the beach and hang out with friends and play in then sand. They go and enjoy playing in the water and building things out of sand. Although everyone has been doing this for quite a while children have done the same and have continued going out to the beach.

Children today go to the movie theaters and enjoy their time watching movies. There used to be theaters in the 1900s but mainly adults would go only. Now many children like to go out on Friday nights and Saturday nights with their friends and watch movies until their curfew.

Now that computers have been invented many kids spend a lot of time being on their computers playing games, going on the internet, talking with friends, and watching videos. Kids in the 1900s didn’t have any electronics like a computer and had to play outside.

Today children do not play exactly the same way as kids use to in the 1900s. Now, kids mainly play with new technology. Most children are getting addicted to being on computers, playing their video games, and watching television. There is a big difference in the childhood from the 1900s and today's childhood. Some children still play old games that were played in the old days, but most children continue playing new games that keep being invented.
