    Reflective Statements for Part II of Certification Portfolio

    Artifact: Resource Project

    Technology Standard 5- The competent teacher will integrate advanced features of

    technology-based productivity tools to support instruction, extend communication outside

    the classroom, enhance classroom management, perform administrative routines more

    effectively and become more productive in daily tasks.

    The competent teacher is able to include advance technology features into the curriculum.

    These technological advances will help with managing the classroom, providing appropriate

    materials for the students, and will show new ways to help keep daily task and discoveries neatly

    organized. Productivity with students and technology will effectively support students

    development in their coursework and materials. Integrating tools to support instruction and

    keeping track of students work is beneficial for the teacher as well.

    The artifact I chose to use to support Technology Standard 5 is a resource file to help

    teachers with instruction and for students to stay on task throughout the school days and class

    periods. This file includes behavioral charts that students who need to be tracked can use. It

    includes field trip forms, substitute file plans, filler activities, filler activities, a daily schedule,

    bulletin board ideas, interactive bulletin boards, and center activities all for a primary classroom.

    All of these technological devices were found online and through classroom experience. This

    file is able to show how I am able to incorporate things from an educational resource to use

    appropriately with a classroom.

    I was able to use a few of the technological tools in the resource file with my students.

    These included some filler activities that are used to help students learn, interact throughout the

    class period, and fill in gaps of times with where students finish things early. I have also been

    able to use the center activities with my students and the behavior charts and schedules. Most of

    the activities have been planned and carried out successfully and accurately with the students.

    Through this artifact I am able to reach a diverse group of learners and individuals within

    the classroom. The students needs are all reached and met in some fashion through the resources

    I have available. The students and the teachers are able to use this file to analyze and interpret

    information while accessing the tools online or by printing them and filing them away for future

    reference.
