    Statistical Processing Charts

    R Chart When working with Variables data, an R (range)

    chart creates a picture of a process over time. This

    chart is used with data that has a subgroup size of

    two or more.

    S Chart When working with Variables data, an S Chart is a

    variation on the R Chart above. Instead of range,

    however, the S Chart shows the standard deviation

    of each subgroup. This chart is generally used when

    the subgroup size is large; for example, eleven or

    more observations per subgroup.

    P Chart When working with Attribute data, a P-Chart shows

    how a process changes over time. However, instead

    of using the actual count of nonconforming units, p-

    charts use a proportion of the nonconforming items,

    since the subgroup size may vary.

    List Chart Types:

    Streaming List The Streaming List displays rows of datathat display new rows at the top of the list

    when active data arrives. StreamingListshows only inserts. It is optimized for a fastrate of inserts, and is good for watchingweb-logs or some other form of data streamthat really has only inserts anyway

    Updating List The Updating List displays rows of datathat update in place when active data isinserted. UpdatingList shows only updates.It is optimized for a fast rate of updates, andis good for watching stock quotes or someother form of data stream that really hasonly updates anyway.

    Updating Ordered List The Updating Ordered List displaysupdated records inserted into the sorted list.The top records are highlighted in up to

    four colors. You must apply a sort to viewthe color highlighting. Updating OrderedList will show inserts, updates and deletes,and it will also support sorting withActiveData across multiple columns (if theupdates should move the row to anotherposition in the list it will actually movethere).

    Action List The Action List displays the records withselected fields, sorted on the selected sortfield, and additionally an action box. Theview allows actions to be defined on the

    individual data row. (either multipleselection or single selection). Additionallyeditable fields can be selected to changethe data in the ADC. (Actions are definedin report properties)

    Collapsed List The collapsed list displays the records inselected fields, and summaries. If theselected field has no summary fieldselected, it groups all the remaining fieldsas per summary selection. All duplicates

    are merged and totaled as per summaryselection

    Columnar The Columnar view is text report view thatincludes grouping, summaries, headers,footers, and text formatting. Columnarviews can be tiled views in a single page orcontinuous Columnar reports.

    Crosstab Supports the following aggregates for 2dimensions (rows and columns)The data fields can be aggregated to show:Sum, Average, Count, Min, MaxSupports n levels on each dimensionIntermediate aggregates at every level

    KPIs

    Arrow The Arrow is a positive or negative numberkey performance indicator. Additionalfields can be displayed across from the

    arrow diagram for more information. Thedata fields can be aggregated to show:Sum, Average, Count, Min, Max

    Market Arrow

    The Arrow is a positive or negative numberkey performance indicator. The data objectselected must have a timestamp field. Thisfield determines the last record, which isdisplayed in the Arrow. Preview ONLY.

    Range Gauge The Range Gauge indicates the current

    value in the context of a range designed forthe values. The data fields can beaggregated to show: Sum, Average, Count,Min, Max. The data range in the field isfixed, and cannot increment.

    Dial Gauge The Range Gauge indicates the current

    value in the context of a range designed forthe values. The data fields can beaggregated to show: Sum, Average, Count,Min, Max. This dial gauge has the optionfor auto increment of dial numbers.

    Spreadsheets

    Spreadsheet The Spreadsheet displays columnscontaining rows of data in a MicrosoftExcel Office Web Component Spreadsheet.

    Excel The Excel view displays columnscontaining rows of data in a MicrosoftExcel Spreadsheet. When you first create a

    report containing a Excel view, a dialogdisplays for you to accept a CAB file thatcontains an ActiveX control. The ActiveXcontrol enables Excel to run inside ofActive Studio.

    You can do several calculations in the views, and use these calculated fields in the viewfor display purpose and apply aggregates on these calculated fields. The list below gives

    Printing Views:

    All views (using standard report layout) prints only data that is seen on the screen. OnlyColumnar Report layout prints the full list views data.

    Multiple Data Objects:

    Multiple Data Objects and summaries from these multiple data objects can be plotted ona single graph. These graphs include 2D & 3D Bar, 2D & 3D Line, and 2D & 3D Area

    charts.

    View Properties:Use the properties tab of the views to create any look and feel. User specific or otherspecial properties which are not available on the view properties tab cannot be added.
