Submit your application to become a Dos Lagos Teen Ambassador! The ideal Dos Lagos Teen Ambassador candidate is enthusiastic, involved in school and community activities and is a positive role model.

The prestigious teen program provides unique opportunity for college bound high school juniors and seniors to gain skills in the areas of public relations, special events, business, communications and marketing. The honor of being one of just 12 Teen Ambassadors from all area schools is an impressive addition to college applications. The Teen Ambassadors, who will serve from June 2012 through May 2013, will earn community service hours and be paid to help at special events The Teen Ambassador activities will NOT interfere with school academics, sports, family activities and vacations, as members may participate as their schedules permit. The teens will have opportunity to interact, not only with their peers from area high schools, but also business owners, managers, chamber officials, community leaders, mall patrons and more.

Meet the Current Dos Lagos Teen Ambassadors

The current Dos Lagos Teen Ambassadors are outstanding representatives for The Shops at Dos Lagos: Centennial High School: Paul Bautista, Majestique Bellamy, Megan Mostamand, Jenny Shin, Emily Saunolers, Steven Thorp, and Ty Tu; Corona High School: Inez Bailey and Kenna Vec-chiarelli; Eleanor Roosevelt High School: Hannah Voros; Santiago High School: Tiffany Elizalde, Alyssa Harshbarger, Luis Manzo, Andea Parra, Eric Staten and Steven Thorp. They have enjoyed many activities including pizza cooking class at Citrus City Grille, escorting youth carolers during the holidays, serving as hosts at Dos Lagos Amphitheater stage performances, a Juried Art Show, movie events at Dos Lagos Stadium 15 Theater, Santa Arrival Parade, and a Holiday Teen Won-derland Party with DJ, photo booth, carriage rides and pie eating contest.

2. All applicants will be notified by April 23, 2012 if they are finalists.

3. The 30 selected students must be available to participate in the finals on Thursday, May 3, 2012. If a student cannot participate in the finals, an alternate finalist will be selected.

Teen Ambassador Finals on May 3, 2012The 30 finalists will participate in a shopping activity and presentation to the Teen Ambassador Selection Panel:

Pre-Finals Shopping Activity Finalists will each receive a FREE $25 gift card on May 3, 2012 to shop for one or multiple items which reflect their interests, hobbies, personality, etc.

The FinalsFamily, friends and the public is invited to attend the Teen Ambassador finals on May 3 at 6:30 pm at the Dos Lagos Amphitheater. Each teen finalist will be introduced on stage to share why he or she selected the purchased item(s). The selection panel may also ask finalists additional questions.

The selection panel will use the following criteria to select 12 Dos Lagos Teen Ambassadors:

Review of teen entry form information and teen’s on-stage presentation of item(s) purchased; personality, poise and enthusiasm toward becoming a Teen Ambassador.

12 Selected Teen AmbassadorsThe 12 selected Teen Ambassadors will each receive a $75 Dos Lagos gift card.

Answers to Typical Questions

1. How much time will the Teen Ambassador program require? Very little time is required as we respect that school studies and activities come FIRST.

As each teen’s schedule permits, the Teen Ambassadors can participate in Dos Lagos community programs and special events.

2. How many male and female students will be selected as Teen Ambassadors? There is no pre-determined number of male and female Teen Ambassadors. Five of the

current Dos Lagos Teen Ambassadors are males.

3. How much does my photo count in review of my application? This is NOT a beauty contest. We seek enthusiastic, positive students who are role models for

their peers for this honor of representing their schools as Dos Lagos Teen Ambassadors. Use the application form to let us know why you should be a finalist!

Parent/Legal Guardian Teen Ambassador Program Release and Indemnity Form By my signature below, I attest that I am a parent or legal guardian of this applicant; and give permission for my son/daughter to submit this application for The Shops at Dos Lagos Teen Ambassador program (the “Teen Ambassador Program”) and that if my son/daughter is a finalist, I agree that any photos taken during the finals may be used for publicity purposes by The Promenade Shops at Dos Lagos (the “Shopping Center”), and I further agree that if my son/daughter is selected as a Dos Lagos Teen Ambassador, his or her photos may be used by the Shopping Center and its agencies for publicity purposes during 2012 and 2013.

By my signature below, on behalf of myself and each of my family members, I hereby release, and will hold harmless and defend 223-1 DL Holdings, LLC, Dos Lagos Commercial Maintenance Corporation, Temescal Canyon Properties – 8, LLC, Cypress Equities Managed Services, L.P., Spinoso Real Estate Group, as well as each such entities’ members, partners, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, licensees, invitees, employees, lessees, customers, sponsors and representatives (collectively, “Indemnified Parties”) against and from any and all liabilities, obligations, losses, penalties, actions, suits, claims, damages or injuries of any kind, in law or in equity, that may result from any and all injuries and/or damages suf-fered by each signatory, our child or any other family member by either coming onto the Shopping Center or participat-ing in the Teen Ambassador Program.

The Indemnified Parties shall not be liable to either signatory, your child or your family for coming onto the Shopping Center or for any other person on or about the Shopping Center, the adjoining grounds and parking lot, or for any loss, expense or damage, either to the person or property sustained by reason of any condition of the Shopping Center, or due to any act of any employee or agent of the Indemnified Parties or the act of any other person whatsoever. Each signatory hereby releases and discharges the Indemnified Parties from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, suits, damages, obligations, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including payment of attorneys’ fees, that such signatories may have against the Indemnified Parties of whatever kind or nature, whether known or unknown, resulting from or in any way connected the Teen Ambassador Program and use of the Shopping Center. The Indemnified Parties shall not be liable for I hereby waive all claims for, damage to person or property resulting from any accident or occurrence in or upon the Shopping Center.
