These events convinced me tochange my life. My grand-mother told me about TeenChallenge and I came seekinghelp. On the second night inthe program, I gave my heart toGod.
The Lord has used Teen Chal-lenge to change my entire life,and I am grateful for that. NowI understand His amazing planfor me and that He has a pur-pose for my life. My life verse isColossians 1:21-22.
My father died when I was al-most five, but Mom workedhard to give us a good life,though we were poor. Despitemy mom’s best efforts to raise me right, I started smokingweed and drinking by age 13 toescape my bitter reality,
Throughout high school I triedevery drug I could get myhands on. Friends told me thatGod loved me and warned me
about hard drugs, but I ignoredthem. With all the bad things Ihad experienced, I had a hardtime believing that God lovedme, so I continued to use drugsregularly. In my late teens I fellin love with a girl, and becausemy focus and attention was somuch on her, I would only drinkor smoke weed occasionally.When she left me after fiveyears, I was devastated. Ijumped headfirst into drugs toease the pain and heartache.
After attending a 30-day pro-gram for OxyContin addiction. Istayed clean for two years butrelapsed again. I suddenly real-ized that everything my friendshad predicted was true; I wasaddicted to hard drugs. Duringthe year before I came to TeenChallenge, I regularly shot up

We are happy to announce our9th Annual Teen ChallengeGolf Tournament and SilentAuction, May 21st, 2012. Thecost for a single player is $200,and a basic foursome is $800.There are a variety of businessor organizational sponsorshipopportunities available thatcan provide great advertisingand PR, from a simple holesponsor up to the Title Spon-
sorship at $8,500. This pre-mium sponsor enters threefoursomes of golf, 18 holesigns advertise the business,and a full-page color ad in ourprogram. Ads are also availablein our tournament program.The day includes a cook-out anexcellent dinner and the silentauction featuring some out-standing values. IMPACT Baltimore will beheld in three inner city parks:Clifton Park, Mund Park andPatterson Park, the weeks ofJune 24-29, July 8-13, andAugust 12-17. Teams fromaround the city and Mary-land, Pennsylvania, Virginiaand other locations will bejoining us as we reach out tothe homeless, broken, af-flicted, and addicted during
April 18-27, Executive Direc-tor Bill Parks and JuanDelgado will be traveling toEastern Cuba for pastorsconferences April 18-26.Cuba is still the only commu-nist country in the westernhemisphere.
This will be pastor Bill’s 28thtrip to Cuba and Juan’s first. We believe all our staffat Teen Challenge need toexperience missions at sometime and we plan to takeothers to Cuba and variednations in the future.
Juan could use some finan-cial help for this trip; he willbe interpreting for PastorStan Williams, Bishop LeeWhitaker, and Pastor Bill all

Once a decision is made toaccept our offer, we will have a90-day study period duringwhich we must assess the costof needed repairs to the build-ing, zoning issues, etc. Renova-tions must then be completedbefore we can begin housingand training up to 30 adultmen.
