LADIES BOOK CLUB The book for June is “Sweet Water Gap” by Denise Hunter. Come and
be a part of the Ladies Book Club meeting the last Monday of each month in the East Wing

The Children’s Ministry Group is devoted to the regular procedures, activities and
ministries of children birth through 5th grade.
This group taps into the spiritual gifts of Exhorter, Pastor/Shepherd, Mercy, Server,
and Administration.
Please pray for them as they exercise their spiritual gifts in the church.

Knee Notes Prayer Request for our Church Family/Friends
Plans for the October Honduras trip are under way. We are sched-
uled to leave on Oct. 10, 2015. The cost for the trip is $1000. This
covers all expenses to and from Honduras as well as in country ex-
penses. We need a deposit of $600 by June 21st. The remaining
$400 will be due on August 2nd. Our plans are to work with Pastor
Adolfo at Calvario church. We will also use this trip to take the re-
maining Christmas bags for Nueva Esperanza. Please contact John
or Bonita Jones for additional information @ 803-548-4923 or [email protected].
Serving our Neighbors (SON) is extremely low on canned goods at this time.
They are especially in need of things like soup and canned pasta and similar items which can be
heated on a hot plate. Please place your donations in the bin in the café. If you have questions,
please call Lisa Daubenspeck at 803-448-7901.
CHRISTMAS IN JUNE
BAGS FOR NUEVA ESPERANZA DAYCARE
Once again we will be sending filled zip lock bags with Christmas Gifts to the
children in the daycare. There will be a 2 gallon zip lock bags with information
about the child and suggestions on what to put in the bag. Below are the dates the
bags will be available as well as the return date.
Sunday - June 21 available for pick up after both services.
Sunday - June 28 filled bags are due back at the church.
Monday - June 29th at 6:30 pm a team of volunteers will sort and pack bags.
If anyone would like a bag for a certain child, please contact Melanie Burns at the

We are looking for adult volunteers to help with our TCBC
youth group’s World Changers week Aug. 2-8. We need
hosts who will let students sleep at your house for the week,
night chaperones to sleep in the same room as the students,
drivers to drive students through neighborhoods going door
to door, day chaperones to oversee students throughout the
day, kid chaperones to oversee grade school kids in the
evening at our VBS-like program “The Second Mile,” and
lastly, someone to take home and wash the student’s
t-shirts every night. Please let Adam Johnson know if you’re interested in volunteering for any
of these responsibilities. You can contact him by calling the church office or by email:
[email protected]. What a great way to be a mentor for this week.

Great News! We’ve got 22 youth and adults going to SummerSalt
leaving Monday and returning Friday. See a youth leader to get a
name of a youth going to camp and commit to pray for them while
at camp and send a card of encouragement.

Many thanks to everyone for a great week of Vacation Bible School!
All our volunteers gave up valuable time this week and invested in
the lives of many children. Prayerfully, seeds were planted as the
children learned about God's provision and care for Elijah and
Naaman and for us through His ultimate gift of Jesus for our eterni-
ty. Please remember to thank those who helped out this week with VBS. Rodger, Dorothy,
Mike, and the sound and Praise teams did an amazing job with the music and skits, our Station
Leaders kept things exciting and fun for the children, and the Crew Leaders did an awesome job
loving on the children and showing them Jesus through their care. Special thanks to those who
drove the van to bring the children of SON Ministries to and from VBS each day. It was very
special having these children with us all week. No job is too small, and we wouldn't have made it
through the week without those who came when they could and filled in here and there. And, a
HUGE thank you goes out to Cynthia Keen for planning and directing VBS again this year.

2nd TOWN HALL MEETING There is a second “Town Hall Meeting” scheduled for Thursday, June 25th at
6:30PM in the east wing. This meeting will be for those who were unable to attend
the original meeting that was held on Sunday, May 31, 2015.
