MUMBAI (VABB)
INTRODUCTION
1. The purpose of this AIP Supplement is to:
1.1 Inform operators of the commissioning of modified Taxiways.
1.2 Taxiway N1R to provide rapid access to Runway 27, Taxiway S7 to provide
expeditious vacation from Runway 27 and Taxiway F for connectivity between
Taxiway S7 and Taxiway R for General Aviation Apron.
Note:
i) Refer Part 1 for commissioning of Taxiway N1R.
ii) Refer Part 2 for commissioning of Taxiway S7.
iii) Refer Part 3 for commissioning of Taxiway F.
iv) Refer Part 4 for table showing declared distances of Runway 09 and 27.
v) Refer part 5 for amendments and cancellations.
vi) Refer Annexure-I and II for Take-off run available from different intersection
of Runway 09 and 27.

1. Commissioning of entry Taxiway N1R for Runway 27 at Chhatrapati Shivaji International
Airport Mumbai:
* Taxiway N1 centreline lights will be kept ON and Taxiway N1R centreline lights will
be kept in OFF position. The taxiway centreline lights of taxiway N1R will be switched
ON only in case requested by pilot.
Note: Discretion to line up from taxiway N1 or taxiway N1R (right) lies with the pilot in
order to improve runway capacity by reducing runway occupancy time.

* The length of Taxiway S7 from Runway 27 up to junction of Taxiway F, however total
length of Taxiway S7 is 542 m.
Note:
i) Taxiway S7 will be preferred exit taxiway for Runway 27 for aircraft up to code C
allotted parking at General Aviation.
ii) TWY S7 meets all requirements of Rapid Exit Taxiway (RET) as per DGCA Civil
Aviation Requirements though the same is currently not published as an RET.

iii) Aircraft up to code C (wing span up to but not including 36 m)) vacating RWY 27
via TWY S7 shall continue on Taxiway S7 up to Taxiway S7 / F junction and turn
left on Taxiway F for parking on General Aviation.
iv) No aircraft is permitted to turn left after vacating Runway 27 via taxiway S7 to join
taxiway ‘R’ for parking at General Aviation Apron, Taxiway F shall be used for
access to General Aviation Apron.
v) Taxiway intermediate holding position provided on south of side Taxiway S7 / F
junction for holding of aircraft taxiing / towing from Jet Airways and Indian Navy
hangar.
vi) Taxiway centerline lights for taxiway S7 are provided until the junction of taxiway
S7 with taxiway F.
