• New Motorola station from the water tower

• Coverage uncertainties

• After the IT of 2002 :

• Migration to IP video for the access control of the site gates of LHC

• A pilot installation (with SL/BI) on IP video for beam observation

• A new transmission system based on M-JPEG 2000 will link the CERN amphitheaters

• LCR will be eased by the new PABX OS, new operators will go through qualification

• A quarterly Telecom bulletin will be issued for CERN management

Geneva Police and Fire Brigade, we may have to start a study for a complete replacement of the CERN Fire Brigade radio system based on TETRA or TETRAPOL standards

• GPRS services :• With the beginning of LHC installations we will have to

face new demands for GSM technologies. It’s time to think for new services.
