Wellbeing Poster

We now share a new wellbeing poster with

you in the weekly newsletter. This week’s

poster gives you tips to help build your

child’s resilience and growth mindset.

Golden Mile Home Challenges

As you know over term 5 we asked you get

out and get active and record how many

miles of exercise you completed. Thank

you to all the children who took part in

recording their activity and sending in

their golden mile record sheets. We have

totalled up the miles from the cards we

received and have completed a total of

344.94 recorded miles across term 5.

The year group with the most miles was

Year 1, with an impressive 121.3 miles!

We would like to give a special mention to

Maizie in Year 1 who recorded a massive

76.96 miles! A big thank you to all that

took part, we hope you enjoyed getting

out and active, keep up the good work!

Sycamore Swimming

Please be aware that Sycamore swimming

dates have been slightly changed. They

Forest School

On Wednesday, Reception and Year 1 had a

Forest School session together to get to

know each other better and to help

Reception Class with their transition into

Beech Class next year. They started off in a

circle and played ‘get to know each other’

games. Reception then paired up with a Year

1 buddy and went exploring in the woods.

They also built a bridge, built dens and

played hide and seek! Lots of fun was had by

all. They are now looking forward to 3 more sessions of Forest School together this term.

A big thank you to all the helpers and Miss Waterman for planning another great session!

Sports Day

A big thank you to everyone for such a

fantastic turn out on Sports Day last

term! Also a big thank you to Miss

Denney, Mr Lawrence and the PFCS

for all their organisation and help with

setting up. It was a brilliant day and

fun was had by all.

Positivity Board

This board enables parents/carers,

staff, children and visitors to write

positive comments, or thoughts,

about their time in school or during

events that they would like to share

with others.

Please pop in any time to write down

something that you would like to

share. In the newsletter every

week, there will be a picture to

share and celebrate the

positivity within our school and

community.

Easyfundraising

Parents and Friends of Chiddingly School or Chiddingly School Association (this is what it is

registered as) have signed up to Easyfundraising, an easy way for parents to raise funds for the

school at no extra cost to themselves. Whenever you place your shopping through 100s of sites

they will automatically give us a donation. Please could all parents consider doing their online

shopping through this site or app.

Recycle 4 Charity

Please remember the PFCS are collecting INKJET cartridges through Recycle 4 Charity. Brands

that you can recycle include HP, Dell, Lexmark, Canon, Samsung, Neopost. Please DO NOT send

Epson or Kodak cartridges in our recycling bags as their value will not cover postage costs, instead

you can include them in a box collection which is in reception if you have at least 25 items.

Inkjet cartridges must be in suitable condition to be recycled. Please check their recycling

criteria. They do not accept laser & toner cartridges through this recycling service.

PFCS Disco - Tuesday 11th June

All children who are attending the disco after school can bring a change of clothes to school if

they wish to get changed before the disco. Members of the PFCS will then take those children

over to the hall. We ask parents who are not assisting with the disco to collect their children by

5:00pm. Any parents who are helping with the disco please could they get to school for 3:00pm

and meet in the hall.
