The Nestlé Crunch logo compared to a revamp I created. The purpose of this was to assist in attracting the attention of customers by making the typography stand out a bit more. The type and the outlines were intentionally made to be more sharp to help give off the feeling of the candy being "crunchy". Also, the range of different reds were chosen to

This poster was created with the AIGA poster show guidelines in mind. The green was chosen to go with the Weezer album that the song, "Island in the Song" is in. This poster was created with experimental typograpic elements that I haven't played with much prior to this, such as the Islands in the Island, and the Sun with the words radiating off of it.

The Legend of Zelda25 years the Zelda Series has given us 25 years of high quality games. Link has been with many gamers since the very beginning, and that’s not going to stop anytime in the near future.

Metroid25 years Samus has impressed many with her fairly recent leap into the three dimensional world in the Metroid Prime Trilogy. Despite its sucess, many fans still await her return to 2D sidecrolling.

CastlevaniaThe series went from an action platformer, to exploration based to a third person action title. The many games that this series has given ushave flowed through our veins for decades.

Street Fighter IICapcom sparked the fighting game frezy with the release of Street Fighter II. The originally dead fighting genre has become a digital phoenix. Two decades later, we’re in the midst of a fighting game renaissance.

SonicSega’s aging icon has polarized fans of his marvelous 2D escapades and defenders of his dubious 3D mishaps. Though not every title is a hit, the manic mascot still keeps cruising along.

PokemonIt’s been 15 years since the U.S. first heard of a quirky Japanese Game Boy title about raising and battling monsters. Nobody could have predicted the typhoon of media, games and fans that would follow.

Resident EvilWho coud have guessed that a terrifying skulk through a zombie-infested mansion would evolve into a premier action series years down the road? Over the years, Resident evil brough us many scares.

Tomb RaiderSince Lara’s 1996 debut, we’ve seem a steady increase of female video game protagonists. The curvy truesure hunter helped define the early Playstation experience and is already on her second makover.

DiabloFew games can secure such a rabid fanbase with so few entries. Diablo III is among the most-anticipated games of all time, and impatient fans are still booting up Diablo II to stave off their cavernous hunger until it is released.

Grand Theft Auto IIIThogh it’s not the first GTA, this title blew the minds of gamers and blasted open the doors for open world games. The controversy Rockstar stirred with this game has long faded as fans wait for the release of GTA V.

Donkey KongBefore Shigeru Miyamoto stunned gamers with Super Mario and Zelda, he partnered with an angry ape to steal their quarters. Since its arcade debut, Donkey Kong has propelled a humble carpenter into a highly successful plumbing career, scored the titular simian his own popular platforming series and become the focus of the popular documentary, The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters.

Years

Other Series:Just because many of the major games franchises are celebrating their milestones doesn’t mean that the less popular ones should be forgotten. Here are a couple of other games that have upcoming anniversaries this year.

This was part of a magazine redesign I did for the magazine "Game Informer." This article was originally a single page with some unorganized elements, so I made it a 2 page spread to help even it out a bit. I made a controller with a resemblance to the NES controller to go along with the "classic" theme.

This started off as a simple illustration in my first year. I cleaned up many of the blatant errors and turned it into a poster that advertises Rano Raraku in the Easter Islands.

The purpose of this project was to create a poster for a Mozart Festival. I made an illustration of a violin since it was a prominent instrument, and I used a gradient to represent the wood texture.
