Who is ARTEMIS? ♥ daughter of Zeus and Leto

♥ Twin sister of Apollo

♥ The goddess of forests and hills

♥ She was the huntress

♥ She was one of the Olympians and a virgin goddess♥ Carried a bow and arrows

Location ♥ Was located near the ancient

city of Ephesus, about 50 km south from the

modern port city of Izmir, in Turkey.

History of Temple ♥ It was so big that it took about 120

years to build

♥was built in 550 B.C.

♥Main purpose was to be a worship center for the moon goddess, Artemis

♥ Stood in the Greek city of Aphasias, on the west coast which we all know as Turkey.
