Ten Men Mowing Company would like to thank you for the opportunity to respond to the ad that was placed in the Augusta newspaper. We understand that the town of Augusta is currently looking for an experienced company that specializes in custom mowing jobs. According to the ad in the newspaper, the landscaping contract would be for the weekly mowing of 5 miles of Route 24 median and sidings, 10 acres in Willoughby Park, and 23 acres at Augusta Memorial Golf Course, beginning May 30th through September 30th. Ten Men Mowing Co. has examined the areas that need to be maintained and we believe that we exceed the requirements and expectations to fulfill the position.

We have attached our proposal outlining all of the expected requirements as well as how Ten Men Mowing Co. will exceed the expectations of the Parks and Recreation department of Augusta, Oregon. We have included an estimate of the total weekly labor hours with costs, reasons of why we are qualified to perfect this opportunity, and why you should select our proposal. Qualifications

As the owner and founder of Ten Men Mowing Co., our team of lawn-mowing professionals exceeds the requirements of the task at hand. We began working together as a group over 15 years ago. Over the past 15 years ago, we have managed to keep all of the original crewmembers as well as add a few more members who met all of our expectations and qualifications. By working together for such a long time, we have learned how to work effectively and efficiently as a team.

Professionals in the landscaping profession have trained all of the employees at Ten Men Mowing Co. Each employee has a significant amount of experience with lawn care and have the ability to perfect any landscaping task at hand.

While all of our employees are professionals in lawn care, some of our staff has more experience on different types of landscapes. We have three different departments at Ten Men Mowing Co., which specialize in urban landscaping, parks and recreation, and golf courses. We also have specialized lawn equipment to complete any task at hand. Over the years, we have invested in the highest quality machinery that

helps us complete jobs effectively and efficiently. These precision cutting tools assist us in making sure that every blade of grass is cut to the exact length and that there is no fault in our work.

Labor Estimates

With our state of the art equipment and our large amount of experience, Ten Men Mowing Co. uses the most efficient techniques when managing lawns. We would first assign each of our departments to one of the three tasks.

Golf Course Department

Each department has the staff to mow 2 acres or 1 mile per 30 minutes. This means that the sidings and median of Route 24 would take 2.5 hours, 10 acres in Willoughby Park would take 2.5 hours, and the 24 acres at Augusta Memorial Golf Course would take 6 hours. These estimates include maintaining the grass in each area as well as cleaning up any mowing that would take place. Overall, the weekly labor estimate would be close to 11 hours.

Ten Men Mowing Co. takes the utmost pride in all of our work and we believe that Augusta deserves the best in lawn care. We are priced very competitively with the competition in Augusta and would like to offer the town of Augusta a very special and exclusive rate. The typical lawn care company in Augusta charges $40 per hour and doesn’t do half as good of a job that we can provide. We are willing to provide our best work for our best price! At $35 per hour, we will complete all the landscaping necessary along Route 24, Willoughby Park, and Augusta Memorial Golf Course.

Ten Men Mowing Co. will require payment after each month of service. Since the landscaping job is between May 30th and September 30th, we would require a payment on June 31st, July 30th, August 31st, and September 30th once all of the services are provided for that month. With the weekly estimates provided, we anticipate monthly payments of $1,540, which would total to $6,160.
