Preferably, as many as you possibly can at once. 2 Speed: If you find yourself running for the bus, forget actually getting on the bus! Simply whiz past it then attempt to beat it to the next bus stop. 3 Endurance: Ask your local mechanic to knock you up a human-sized hamster wheel, then have it linked to an electric battery. Ten wayS To fiT olympic Training inTo your Daily rouTine

Strength: Don’t offer to “see” old ladies across the road. Offer to “carry” old ladies across the road. Preferably, as many as you possibly can at once.

Speed: If you find yourself running for the bus, forget actually getting on the bus! Simply whiz past it then attempt to beat it to the next bus stop.

Endurance: Ask your local mechanic to knock you up a human-sized hamster wheel, then have it linked to an electric battery. Not only will you get fit, you’ll save your parents a fortune in lighting bills.

Determination: Have secret compartments stitched into the linings of all your clothes and fill them with really heavy things like sand and ball bearings. This will make everyday activities such as walking around or making a sandwich that little bit more challenging.

Skill: If your route to school follows a local canal or river, why not swim to and from school every day.

Technique: As an essential part of training for the hurdles, try “hedge-hopping” every front garden in your street, (if some of these gardens contain ferocious dogs, it may encourage you to break records you never imagined possible).

Agility: When you’re on your way to the shops, instead of walking, consider hopping, cartwheeling, somersaulting or walking on your hands.

Power: The next time your family is planning a trip out in the car, offer to push the car to its intended destination, with your entire family in it. Not only will this increase your strength, you’ll save the environment too!

Competitiveness: Compete against yourself in everything you do, timing things like how long it takes you to get dressed, brush your teeth, make a cup of tea and answer the phone. Then try to beat your records.

Stamina: Take the stairs two at a time, then three at a time, then four at a time, building up your skill and stamina until you are able take the whole staircase in one giant leap!
