M-FILTM(Multi Filament) is a combination of three materials that are incorporated into the hitting zone of the racket head to enhance the touch and feel of the racket where and when you need it most - at the moment of ball contact.

The 3D braided structure at these key points enhances torsional stability at ball contact while frame deformation is similarly reduced and this helps to enhance dwell time on ball impact.

Dunlop AEROGELTM rackets incorporate the world’s lightest solid, which has a strength of up to 4,000 times its own weight. The three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased power.

Vibrocore dramatically reduces frame vibration after ball impact. The racket is actually cut in half and then re-constructed using two additional pieces. A sleeve portion is made from a thermal-plastic resin system while the round core material is made of silicon rubber. These combine to produce an unrivalled vibration damping effect. At ball impact shock waves are absorbed in the shaft of the racket into the silicon

rubber core and are therefore not allowed to travel down the handle. This significantly reduces the risk of tennis elbow and provides exceptional comfort. The sleeve portion also provides a ‘hinge’ effect which helps to provide exceptional rebound power while allowing for the ultimate in player comfort.

Wider string holes with softer grommets at the bridge area allows the ballto remain on the racket strings for longer and thus enhance the trampoline effect for increased power.

The injection of PU foam into the racket frame significantly reduces vibration for supreme player comfort.

Our revolutionary ‘Hotmelt’ manufacturing process produces a unique molten graphite skin which is layered over the entire racket frame, making it immensely strong, durable and responsive, producing an incredible surge of 30% more ‘heat refined power’ than standard graphite rackets. This creates a purer, more uniform graphite coating, enhancing natural power play, producing greater shot accuracy and giving a more consistent touch and feel throughout the frame.

TECHNOLOGY

Dunlop’s new AerobridgeTM system is an injection molded polymer sleeve that encloses the bridge of the racket and incorporates a specially engineered mix of braided carbon fibers combined with Dunlop AerogelTM technology.

Dunlop balls have to be able to withstand the extreme demands they’ll get at some of the World’s most elite tournaments, we chose John McEnroe to give them the sort of punishment that’s made this duo legends of the game.

Who better to test the World’s #1 tennis ball.

The World’s #1 BallDunlop insist on using the purest natural rubber. It is analysed at source, guaranteeing consistent first class quality which gives all Dunlop balls their unrivalled performance. 13 special ingredients are then compounded into the final formula and individual blanks are extruded, precisely measured and accurately weighed under strictly controlled conditions.

Trays of ‘blanks’ are then placed into a precision automated ‘half shell’ mould. These half shells are then moulded under controlled pressure and temperature conditions. The shell edges are then buffed and a glue solution of natural rubber is applied to the edge. The half shells are then ‘vulcanised’ together in a press under heat and pressure and ‘buffed’ to form a complete spherical core.

To protect and preserve the life of a ball and add to its performance capabilities, the rubber core is bonded to an extremely durable cloth made of the best New Zealand wool/nylon blend.

This produces the optimum wear and durability properties for the ball.

The ball is then heated in a press to ‘vulcanise’ the seam between the cloth covers and bond the covers firmly to the core. After steaming and drying, each ball is hand inspected and monitored through a series of tests and inspections that replicate the impact and abrasive forces encountered in tennis. The balls are also tested for accurate flight characteristics, aerodynamics and uniformity of bounce.

Finally the balls are packed in hermetically sealed pressurised cans, so that the balls keep their internal pressure (15psi) and remain ‘factory fresh’ right up to the moment the can is opened.
