Consisting of a combination of modi-

fied apron with integral spoiler, fixed

Two-piece, 10-spoke alloy wheel, orig-

inally developed for the 911 GT3

(1999). Outer rim features elegant

18-inch Turbo Look II wheel

Distinctive one-piece alloy wheel orig-

inally developed for the 911 Turbo

(Type 996). As on the 18-inch Sport-

Techno wheel, each rear rim

measures 10 inches in width and

runs flush with the body of the car.

The wider rear tyres create a larger

contact patch for even greater trac-

tion and grip.

18-inch Carrera wheel

This elegantly sculpted five-spoke

alloy wheel offers a largely unrestricted

view of the heavy-duty calipers and

discs. Despite its monobloc construc-

tion, the wheel is almost as light as the

latest hollow-spoke designs. For a

more purposeful stance, the

Carrera wheel can be combined

with the optional 5-mm spacers.

17-inch Boxster S II wheel

One-piece alloy wheel with powerful

This short-throw gearshift mech-

anism offers a reduction in lever

travel of as much as 35%. Preci-

sion engineered for accurate gear

selection, the result is a more

dynamic driving experience. The

option is available for all Boxster

models from 08/96 and is compati-

ble with the current Tequipment

range of aluminium, wood and

carbon trim options. Note: gear-

lever travel may be slightly restricted

when the car is started from cold.

Porsche Communication Manage-

ment features a built-in drive for

audio and navigation CDs, a high-

resolution 5.8-inch colour display

with 16:9 screen ratio and a navi-

gation module. The GPS navigation

system uses an integrated antenna

to establish your current position

before calculating the route to your

destination. It can also offer alterna-

tive routes using the TMC (Traffic

Message Channel) service currently

available in some countries. System

menus are easily navigable using a

single multi-function rotary control.

The integrated audio system features

RDS two-tuner frequency diversity as

well as 20 FM and 20 MW presets.

This dual-band telephone module

Porsche audio systems

All Porsche audio systems are secur-

ity coded, with some featuring a

removable front panel and flashing

LED. The LED is automatically en-

abled whenever the ignition key is

removed. Each system is equipped

with 4 x 18-Watt amps. The speed-

dependent volume control is active up

to 250 km/h (155 mph), ensuring

consistent audio output at all times.

The TrafficPro system uses DAS

(Dynamic Autostore) to display all

available stations along with their

RDS codes. The dot-matrix display

offers a choice of positive or

negative output for optimum legibility

under all light conditions.
