Deactivating the front-passenger airbag

Child Seat Fastener System

The Child Seat Fastener System for

the passenger seat includes fastening

loops and lower anchorage points for

mounting between the seat surface

and backrest, as well as a key switch

for deactivation of the passenger

airbag. The passenger airbag must

be deactivated when carrying children

weighing less than 59 pounds (for

U.S. and Canada).
