I know that Kelly will be very well supported by the Prep team lead by Mrs McNair. Planning Week Teachers have enjoyed the allocated time over the last couple of weeks to planning in teams to ensure consistency in the delivery of curriculum programs across each year level and the school. The new timetable and school funds have continued to make this happen, using our specialist team and where necessary a few CRT’s (where the year levels have more classes). Year 6 Camp (April 18-20)- Camp Marysville The staff and students were all very lucky to have such amazing weather for the year 6 school outdoor education camp. Everyone who attended camp had an absolutely enjoyable time and it all ran very smoothly. Thank you to everyone involved with ensuring the camp was a great success and a wonderful outdoor educational experience for our children: Mr Peter Seddon, Mrs Rachel Kushnir ( year 5/6 Team Leader), Mr James Ireson, Mrs Tam Faiman, Ms Alana Oro, Mr Matt Serres and Mrs Helen Boyes. The staff reported that the students were extremely well behaved and great role models as representatives of TRBPS. The campers all looked very tired on their return but you could not wipe the smiles off their faces! Have a good week! Robyn Farnell Principal

Naplan During next week our Year 3 and year 5 students will be sitting their Naplan

testing. The students sit four tests – Language Conventions (Tues), Writing (Tues),

Reading (Weds) and Numeracy (Thurs). Testing is in the first session of each day so

it is important students are at school on time. An information sheet from the

Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority was sent home on Monday. If you

have any questions about this year’s Naplan testing, please contact your child’s

teacher.

Important Notice—Staff Car park The school Community is reminded that cars ARE NOT to be driven onto the

School Premises during Drop-off & pick-up times.

There have been a number of instances where cars have been driven into the

school endangering Pedestrians, including children.

The “Staff Car park” is for authorised persons only.

Parents are not to pick their children up or drop them of in driveways or car

park due to safety concerns. Or park across these exits between the hours of

7.30am - 6.30pm (during school operation hours.) Morning Drop off Zone Reminder - Changes to Parking Signs in Tucker Road - at the front of the school

This change was made late last year in consultation with the School Council

Introduction of a ‘No Parking – ‘Kiss and Go’ zone.

School Walkathon 2016 Information and Sponsorship forms will be distributed to every child Prep-6

on Monday 9th May. The Walkathon will be held on Wednesday 8th June

between 1.30 and 3.00pm. Parents are welcome to attend.

A driver must not stop on a length of road or in an area

to which a no parking sign applies, unless the driver is

dropping off or picking up, passengers or goods.

The driver cannot leave the vehicle unattended unless

the driver is within three metres of the vehicle and

must move on within two minutes after stopping.

These restrictions are typically used around schools,

train stations and other locations where there is a high

demand of dropping off and picking up of passengers.
