This week we re- ceived an email showing the finished product of an Aboriginal weaving project that was conducted throughout Term 3 by all the students who had at- tended. All individual pieces have been joined to- gether to create 'The Earth' signifying we are all con- nected. The piece is currently on display at the Northern Beaches Creative Space in Curl Curl as part of an exhibition called 'Out of the Earth' which sees artwork from 5 SSP schools in the local area dis- played for one week (16th - 21st Sept). c Sport Next week is our last AFL session for Term 3. Thank you to Jack Bradley for coming over from Albury each week to run sessions. We were fortunate enough to receive a sporting school grant for next term. We are currently in the planning process and hope to offer students some new sporting experiences. bc Footy Colours Day Next Friday 27th September, students are allowed to wear their best and brightest footy team colours. Students may bring in a gold coin donation to be donated to help end cancer. c NAPLAN Results Naplan results are attached to this newsletter. NAPLAN assessments are a point in time assessment and results have been released much later in 2019. Teachers conduct formal and informal assessments regularly to move students forward in their learning. Please contact your child’s teacher if you wish to discuss your child’s results. b Share Our Space Our playground will again be open these school holidays. Our normal school rules apply and we expect all visitors to be respectful of our grounds and be- longings. Families are welcome to use the grounds during the two weeks of the school holidays. b School Holidays Term 3 ends on Friday 27th September and school will resume on Monday 14th October for students and staff. We hope that all our families have a safe and happy holiday period. Teachers will be talking to students about holiday safety next week.
